    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    after the CAT removal, i got the tank full wid 36 liters...

    wanted to share a increase in the cars average, ill post the complete average after this tank is finished, but this time the car was standing idle with a/c very long, and still the oil has done 8000 kms... and the plugs and the air filter also need to be changed, which means i can expect another increase inshallah....

    @@ type_r..... Bro, chinyoti appears to be more realistic... I dont think if u can even get a major accidented 03 vitz in 4.5... These days zero-meter Alto VXR rate is 6.5.....and you cannot compare it even with 99 vitz...About a year back when i was looking for vitz i visited samanabad market and i saw couple of 04 vitz being demanded 550... but on thorought examination it was confirmed that both of them were major accidented and fully repainted.... moreover both were simple package..... ALL, who intended to buy vitz must always remember 3 FACTORS which always make hell of price difference 1-MODEL, 2-CONDITION, 3-OPTIONS. 4.5 for 03 vitz doesnt make sense....

    @punk
    u can find oil/air/fuel filters for the new vitz at choudhary autos in saddar Peshawar...the Guys name is Khurram bhai and do get the original ones always....dont get Malaysian or Pakistani air filters.

    @Type R
    a 2003 in 4.5 lac?? sure ...thats the same as one of my friends bought the new shape civic with base trim for 9.5 lac....only thing to remember is that he got lucky...someone was selling it in a big hurry....right now that car can fetch more then 13.5 easy....so remember just because that guy sold his car for 9.5 last year, it doesnt mean everyone will start selling it for 9.5.

    One thing ur forgetting is CONDITION...sure u might find a 03 for 4.5...just like a friend of mine has a dark blue one in two door...but the moment he sat in my car he went....oh man i dont wana get into mine now....thats the difference i paid for buddy...maybe a few scratches n a painted portion of the body or a half broken interior making squeaky noises fron every duct dont make a difference to u but sure do to me an many more.
    Remember people, the new vitz in showroom condition will not cost u anything less than 9 nowadays...thats a challenge and my car is up for comparisons if anyone wants a go at it.

    @all

    today i bought Nipon brake shoes and pads for my vitz. Both made in Japan. Brake shoes for 600 and brake pads surprisingly for just Rs 1000 :O. They looked great and i compared them with the original toyota ones which were for Rs 3500, both were nearly same. Opened the front but the pads were still there like new so did not replace them just the service. however the brake shoes were in a very bad condition so got them changed.

    best time is now. If you can, get them checked now and see for yourself if the brakes are in good condition. Or if you're brakes are working fine and they produce no unusual sounds..then no need to do tht.

    Like my front brakes were as good as new. So just got the inner surface cleaned. Rear brake shoes had almost no rubber.

    @ CHINIOTY

    Dear,
    Your Vitz is not giving good average on petrol, As shown by u in pictures above 76/77 km for first 'bar' is quite less.

    My Vitz (2001-AT) gives 103-105 km in ist 'bar'. overall average is 18.0-18.23 km/litre without AC in city driving.

    Dear
    You should not compromise on brakes material quality. As it is very important for your safety. U should buy atleast the front shoes genuine one, made by 'Aisin' - Japan.

    What is a normal petrol average for Vitz AT? Mine give only about 9.5 km/litre.

    I recently cleaned the whole throttle body couple of months back, changed front brake pads with new original ones, engine oil change is done every 3/4 months with Shell Helix Yellow. How can I improve my petrol average?

    Well that petrol average of your car seems unbelievable to me
    My Vitz04 on petrol only gives me around 10-12km/litre without ac and 8-9km/litre with ac

    @ Tyrone_40

    I think the normal/average is 15-16 km/litre in city without AC. With AC roughly u can reduce 1-1.5 km/litre.

    Mine Vitz in the begining gave 13-14 km/litre without AC. Then I changed driving habit with stable foot on excelrator, no hurry, no extra pushing. After that habit the average improved from 13-14 to 18+ without AC.

    The next important thing is quality of petrol. Whenever, I switch to other petrol station due to some reason, average falls around 1-1.5 km/litre.

    Mostly, I use PSO company operated petrol station at DHA.

    However, urs average is low.
