    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    Got My tank filled with 50 Liter of Petrol of the very first time!
    the vitz/yaris (any petrol model ) has a tank capacity of 11.1 gallons (US), which works out to be 42.01807litres so it would seems that once again you got caught out while not paying attention. WAKE UP!!

    there isn't a chance that even .5 of a litre woudl be in the pipes. have you ever seen the size of the fuel pump, pipes etc,... i think they didn't reset the meter when they filled your car and you shoudl go back immediatly with the reciept and get a refund.

    I hope you got the reciept (with your cars number on it and the amount of fuel put in) otherwise you have no proof and no case.

    seems like a gas pump calibration problem/cheating. Is it any laws in Pakistan?

    laws? in pakistan? LOL!

    consumers have NO rights here because they are too used to being RULED and are too weak (minded) to do anything about it.

    @Storm
    Here they get on our @ss if its one tea spoon less over 5 gallons of gas So basically pumps in pakistan can be calibrated to pump less liters. More power to patrol pump owners. No wonder poor guy paid for 50 liter and got just 42 liter.

    The opperators have a tendancy to not reset the guages (by replacing the nozzles) so they an pocket the cash from unsuspecting buyers who are busy with other things on their minds.

    The PSO in gulberg (near the roundabout) in lahore once tried to charge me for 145 litres of hi-octane,... MUPPETS!

    @PuNk
    sorry to hear that you didn't get a reciept, that means you have no proof and therefore have no ground ot stand on. BTW NEVER use that pump unless it's an emergency, the PSO on the other side is much better (and is company run), if you must use caltex, use the one in F-6.

    First complain to the manager; if nothing happens, then Caltex office in the city or regional office. Also mention to them about PakWheels forum that u will spread the news againt Caltex Cheating. If nothing happens then the consumer protection department or some NGO in Islamabad, but I think, they will not act once u do not have receipt. Still it could be tried!

    Yeah you can go for taiwan in the rare breaks but make sure that the rare breaks are bleed properly and serviced. THE PVC valve can be replaced from Chah sultan or toyota capital motors but why would you want to change it?

    The purpose of this The Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve is to prevents blow-by gas from the engine going into the air. The gas is returned to the intake stream, mixed with incoming air, and used in the combustion cycle. This lowers the amount of unburned hydrocarbons in the air which cause smog. You check it by taking it out and shaking it. If you hear a rattling or clicking noise, it's good. If not, you can try to spray the inside of the PVC valve with a solvent/cleanser like WD-40 to free the little ball. If it won't free up, replace it.

    Welcome back. Sorry to hear about the accident, but thanks God that your family did not receive any serious injury. You said the air bags deployed. Aren't they designed to get deployed only in case of a frontal collision ?

    @All
    I'm getting about 15km/hr (on long routes) these days. Done only about 15k km in Pakistan, the cat is still there. Not quite satisfied by the fuel average.
