    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    I dont think that there is anything like completley dry sump or somthing like that.
    An attempt to fill 5.6L will change your thinking on this.

    @Tyrone
    It just needs to be between the two lower cuts when the engine is cold, and between the upper cuts when the engine is hot.

    @ Shiraz

    You are lucky that your car after approaching 100k is still giving good average of 16-17km/litre. VITZ is so robust car that minor deviations from its standard equipments/ specifications do not mar its performance. However, if u are able to get the specified equipment it is good.

    At 100k mark, what is the reading of your trip meters 'A' & 'B'? If it is more than 10,000 kms then please check if the '1' of 100k and '1' of trip meter 10,000 km coincide or illuminate at different places/with little bit gaps?

    @ All

    Well.. i flushed everything, took the filter out, got it cleaned and poured each can one by one. Until it reached "HOT" when the engine was running and cold after shutting down the car. it was 3litres. and i also read on the owner's manual it required not more than 4 litre and no less than 3. Any ways it was AUTO Matic transmission.

    @Tyrone

    Dude there's no use of changing the fluid unless you get you filter cleaned, as thick deposits jam the filter anyways, so if you pour more/new oil, its not as good as cleaning the entire thing.
    I got it cleaned from my mechanic in defense, i'll be happy to take you if you want. oils cost me around 2000rs, and he charged me rs.600 to open and cleanup everything.

    @hsumbal

    about your question on changing the oil at 40k, well it depends on the entire history of usage on your car. I mean i changed the oil when it was only 30k driven. it depends on the color of the oil, if its too dark and looks used til death "change it"

    I guess when ODO does above 100k then it needs filter replacement.

    @K2Vitz and all

    The specifications given above by K2Vitz for Vitz 2005+ are for 1.5 L 4?cylinder (1NZ?FE) that has a displacement of 1496 cc.

    Most of the Vitz 2005+ in Pakistan are 1000 CC. So be careful and don't try to squeeze in 3.7 liters of engine oil after a filter change.

    Does anyone has similar specification for the 1000CC Vitz 2005+. The only manual that I have seen on the web, for 2005+ models, is for Yaris with 1NZ-FE engine.
