    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    W.salam,

    dear i saw your ride in your signature link, Mashallah its very nice.

    I'm interested in a few things, could you please guide me?

    I've got 04 model auto tranny and i would like to increase horsepower of my ride, i saw you installed exhaust system which is quite big, did it increase the power of your ride? and was its installation easy or you got it installed from some toyota shop?

    More, which ngk spark plugs are you using? can you write their full model?

    Thanks.

    actually the exhaust came from japan i never got it installed here it jus came with it. performance is not much of a difference its all sound really.

    i have changed my spark plugs to denso iridium as its the original ones which came with the car ill advice the same however its very pricey around 4000rs for all 4. i have tried bosch 4tips, denso 2 tip n bosch platinum single tip n the best ones are the denso iridium.

    thanks bro, i think i'm ok with the engine sound, i thought it helped alot in increasing the horsepower but its ok.

    About plug thing, thanks, yea the default by toyota are denso one, i will surely keep these in mind in future.

    Moreover, did you modify it by yourself or was it modified by the previous owner?

    I would like to get front, rear bumpers and sideskirts, could you please give me some idea about their price?

    thanks

    Whats the difference after the Denso iridium plugs?
    The best car safety device is a rear-view mirror with a cop in it.

    Visited Toyota Sialkot a few days ago. Following are the details:
    ATF Change=Rs. 2065 (oil) + Rs.750 (labour)
    Engine Tune-up (Computer chek-up)=Rs. 440
    Brake service=Rs. 440
    Throtle body service=Rs. 800

    They removed the ATF sump cap and cleaned it with petrol. Poured about 3 L ATF.
    Told that brake pads need replacement, but i didn't change because the braking felt pretty good to me so far.

    During mechanical checkup, they told that the rear shocks have leaked, thus need replacement. However they didn't have those.

    Overall, the experience was good. It was my first visit to a Toyota service centre.

    @Rawfay
    Yep...
    Actually i was feeling uncomfortable with the fact that i had once put 3L Type: T-II ATF when i bought this ride, and then changed to T-IV after about 600km driving. So i wanted to get the concentration of T-II as less as possible in the mixture that was present in there. Thats why drained and filled another 3L T-IV.

    oh so T-IV is the correct ATF for vitz? Anyways wht was the difference? I have 40k on the odo and don't feel like the tranny needs an oil change. The shifting is smooth.

    these are the factory fitted ones which are plastic and is alot more durable then getting a fiberglas one made. i believe there is only 2 screws that fit in and some strong tape. best thing to do is find the original ones which are easily available from spare part shops.

    @Rawfay
    There wasn't any observable difference except my peace of mind. Besides, earlier i had also poured a little T-IV ATF from the reserve can i had, as i was bit skeptical about the ATF level. So, for the peace of mind, i thought i should get it once complete drain and refill to avoid any complications in the long run.

    @ Shirazkhan - Man no holes! two screws and a few clips on the under side thats all..and yeah Aabir is right about the strong sticking tape.

    @A4Aatif - TOYOTA IST is a seperate thing...its a really nice car a bit more expensive than vitz..
