    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

My vitz model 2003 58K done is consuming more fuel. Previously my was having acceleration problem. But that I got resolved with the removal of CAT converter. I refilled my car with 35Litres Hi-Octane and I did exactly 350Km. Which is equal to 10Km/L. Which is not enough. I checked my airfilter which is of guard and was recently installed not even a month before. My plugs are in perfect condition with gapping done. Engine oil is also in perfect condition, I got changed at 55K with Mobil. I got my ATF also changed at 55K from Toyota. I am having 195/50/R 15 light weight rims with tyre pressure 28Psi.

What should I do else to resolve ?

    @ Ahmed

Dude .. first of all Hi-octane burns more quickly than petrol thus enhancing the pick of the engine, secondly u've removed cat doesn't mean the average will suddenly increase, there's a purpose of cat if it were too decrease average it wouldn't be there in the first place, and last.. the size of your tyre is 195/15 inch wheel while the recommended tyre is 14inch 165, so you can see if still you are getting 10km/litre and not too mention the idle starts, traffic jams etc its pretty good so enjoy your ride and next time if u want to put Hi-Oc do it in a 1:3 ratio with Petrol

    @ahmedshaikhani
Yes my friend, it will definitely help, in burning the fuel even faster and give you an even better pick. I am expecting your next question to be whether a turbo/super charger will help or not...

MAF is connected in the box of your airfilter.. its really very easy if you want to do all this buy yourself.. you would have to buy few things.
    1.Circuit Cleaner(electric)
    2.Throtle body cleaner
    3.STP Fuel system cleaner

Open the box disconnect everything that is attached to the air filter box.. there u'll see MAF sensor connected, take it out .. unscrew and detach the wires.. spray the metallic looking very thin wire with CC and put it back.. then take the filter out .. just the filter.. while the box is connected and start ur car on petrol and have someone to push the accelerator .. while pusing the accelerator.. spray the TC.. then take the -ve terminal of the battery out .. Put the STP in the fuel tank and connect the terminal and there you go

    Just got a 2006 Vitz.

    I have noted the following:

    1. Smoke at engine startup!

    2. Knocking some times... rare but happens...

Now the thing is the person I got it from has already had the following done from Toyota(Isb):

    1. Plugs change

    2. Oil change

    3. Throttle body clean

    4. Air Filter is fine

somebody advised 1:3 ratio hi octane to super ... have not tried that yet!

Dont know how much mileage i am getting as yet... but seems to be around 14KM/lit in city with AC.

Can anyone advise me as to what can be done to make performance better and get rid of smoke?

    Thanks.
