    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

i think 195/50R15 have no issue in pick & comsumption cause they are even smaller in overall, then the stock 155/80R13

    155/80R13 = 578mm(originals)
    195/50R15 = 576mm(near-perfect match)

ok guys i think this might be related to the MAF sensor. i guess the sensor might be covered with dirt and might not be functioning properly.

how much would an MAF sensor cost, any idea?

    Hi.

I just bought a 2001 vitz in quite good shape. It just have a few problems that i would like to get fixed. However i need to find a good mechanic for vitz in karachi. Any recommendations?

I need to get the a/c bearings fixed - they make odd whistling noises

I need to get brake-pads changed

I need to get one self-retractable side mirror fixed - it makes odd sounds when it opens up

If any body can give me a suggestion about the mechanic and how much this might cost, i'll be grateful.

    Regards

    @a4atif

High fuel consumption and slow pick-up can be because of several problems. I have divided the problem and solution for you into two categories.

    Basic problem is.

1- Check your airfilter. Make sure you use Guard airfilter.

2- Use carborator cleaner spray and spray into the intake of airfilter box. I recomment you 7ct carborator cleaner spray.

3- Use Denso plugs K16R-U. Gapping should be between 1.0-0.8mm. These plugs will cost you around 175rs each.

4- Remove your CAT converter. Vitz has got two CAT converter one is underneath the headers. And the other one is like a Dholki. After removing the dholki CAT converter you can install another dholki or just a simple pipe. I will recommend you a dholki otherwise your car will produce some stranger sound.

5- Check your oil and oil filter make sure you use syenthic oil. I will recommend you Zic A+ or mobilone. Change your oil after 5000km this is for Zic A+ or if you use change it after every 8000km.

If your problem still persist. You have to go through something major.

1- Get your fuel injector serviced from a good mechanic. It will cost around 1500-2000rs.

2- Check your fuel filter if it is chocked get it replaced with the orignal one. After every 40000Km you need to change your fuel filter.

3- Check your fuel pump is it working perfectly. If it is week get it replaced with the genuine.

4- Check your transmission oil. If it is below the level get it changed with ATF. Don't use ordinary oil. This is also changed after every 40000Km.

5- Lastly your MAF sensor could be week. Get it serviced with a electrical circuit cleaner, please don't use WD-40.

    Use orignal parts.

Toyota states to use Denso K16-R. They are perfect match for vitz. Many people waste money in using iridiums on stock engines but they prove nothing. You can ask anyone who deals with plugs or is an expert. Storm can highlight also.

Its really worth buy vitz. You can't get the brand new car because they are not produced in Pakistan. If you look at other cars in this range like cultus. There is no match, its totally fuel economical car with luxury.

u can get the spray from auto parts dealer by asking for electronic circuit or carburator cleaner.
