    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

price = you can get a decent 2003-2004 in ur budget
    milege = aprox 10-12 km/l
feul consumption = same as above
maintainnace = not much more then that of Cultus
reliable = Very reliable, Since its a toyota it will last for ever.
road grip = Better then all the hatches, (i havent driven Cultus)
for long routes (as i like to travel most journey on my car) = Very reliable if your car is in good condition
any electrical issue = never faced any, have it since 4.5 years
suspension issue = Depends on how you drive.

any major things to check for

Body and engine condition get it checked by a mechanic. Mileage can be deceptive dont totaly rely on the mileage, very few cars have orignal mileages on them
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Although Toyota Type IV is better but Zic ATF Type III is also perfectly fine and still exceeds the requirements mentioned by Toyota. I'm also using Zic in my Platz (04) for the last one year. Browse through this thread and you'll find many using Zic Type III inculding "Storm" (a very trusted member) in their Vitzs. Don't worry and continue with it with complete peace of mind !

    Default Please advise for Vitz?

I have question for all Vitz Owners

Actually i need you guys suggestion; I am planing to buy Vitz 2000 or 2001/2/3 Model. After going through the many threads i found mix feelings that Vitz sometimes do NOT perform well on CNG? Please share your experience.

Another thing I own Cultus and consumption is would say Good, so does Vitz provides same consumption on CNG and Petrol?

And lastly how about the availability of Mechanics for Vitz? I remember once i was getting fix Head gasket for Cultus so a guy came for changing head gasket for Vitz so the mechanic says no to him indirectly when i asked him the reason he said it's very complicated so they dont touch Vitz?

Go ahead and buy vitz 2006 or later. There s no prob of mech or parts not avail. I bought my vitz 2006 from Karachi in 2008 and stayed in Karachi for about a year and a half. There s a very good workshop in Defence where all imported cars can be repaired. Parts and maintenance ARE expensive compared to cultus but then cultus is no match to vitz. DOnt use CNG on vitz. The car will run but the performance isn t the same. If running on petrol is a concern then buy a company fitted CNG local car like cultus. This is my sincere advice.

    Help needed for Vitz 2005....

    1. The car drops RPM or idling. As a result, the silencer vibrates and gives a whistling sound. A mechanic told me to get it reprogrammed, as after the removal of CAT, the voltage needs to be adjusted? Is it true? Is there any good mechanic to program the CPU in Rawalpinidi or Islamabad? How much it cost? I don' want to go back to Toyota guys, they suck and know nothing.

    2. The car gives rattling sound in slow speed. Cleaning throttle body didn't cure it? Any idea? By the way, using those Carburetor leaner is safe for Throttle body?

No issues, all rumours, just stay away from CNG, unless you know what setup is made for the car.

Yes the Cylincer sound bugs sometimes. But it shouldnt really be a issue, No one is always driving above 4000-5000rpms.

I have the low idle issue in my Vitz too, but mine started when the oil stick broke and was removed from the oil chamber.

People say its because CAT removal, but my cars CAT removal was done way after that. So if u find a cure do post.

The rattling sound, is because of low fuel quality, once in 3-4 refils get a 10Liter Hioctane and rest Super fuel mixed. ul feel the difference.

And i hope the spark plugs ure using are the iridiums specified.
