    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

I know the raising of Vitz's 'ground clearance'/height has been discussed a lot and I have browsed over past posts. I didn't think I would be needing to get that done on mine but the occasional bump hit is getting uncomfortable now.

I'm in Islamabad and I went to Khudda Market but not being a people person I've had a hard time finding the right shop or mechanic who I can trust (primarily the guy was trying to force me into buying a aluminium spacer, and I get uncomfortable when someone is forcing me to do something).

So I would appreciate if someone can share details of a trusted location in Islamabad where I could get my car raised using spacers or springs.

I have a Vitz 99, with original (I think stock) tyres that came with it (from Japan).

    Brothers, I need suggestions

I have had a 2004 vitz since 08, its tyres are due what would you recommend?

It has 13'' rims WANTED to switch to 14'' badly but unfortunately its just gonna be the tyres this time

My current tyres are Dunlop Lemans 175/70/R13

would it be feasible to switch to 185 this time?

Also please recommend any good shops in Lahore.

    Thanks!

    Assalamoalaikum
Guys i would desperately want to share my last night experience of driving one of my friend's friend Vitz 2003 model which clearly made me stun.

I have 2004 (FL with CNG installed a year back), my friend once told me 2 months back that i have a friend who has vitz 03 model which as compared to yours runs pretty faster. At that time i just said OK there are difference in the Cars, some keeps them well so they are better than some others.
but my friend keeps on telling me that his car is better i have driven it its very good bla bla and continue telling me this so last night i got a chance to see his friend's car.

Guys the person who owns the car even dont know which model his car is, how much Kilometer it has been driven etc etc i mean to say that he just drive the car and nothing else. When i sat in his car the car was dirty from inside, the dash board was covered with dust, the seats were dirty too. the first thing came in my mind is that this guy must be making me fool about his car.

But believe me i as i started the car and took a ride i was shocked, i have not driven such a vitz in my life i dont know how to put this in words but the pick up of his car was just awesome, it was shoooting like hell. it went straight to 80 just in 2nd gear and crossed 100 in 3rd gear & the road got finish & i could'nt manage to take the car upto 4th gear.

I want to ask you ppl how is this possible? how come his car is like this? the engine was giving such a power sound.
there was nothing in his car no ultration no air intake no nothing at all just a simple Vitz engine.

I am still thinking about the drive of his car.
has any one else here got the same pickup and boost?
i just wish mine was like him.

no. throwing water has nothing to do with cat condition.
water only indicated rich air fuel ratio mixture

Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

CAT is a common these days so it shouldnt be a real biggy. You can just take ur car and tell him to check it if the exhaust is normal or seems choked.

Other then that its very common for cylincer walas. Whats your location? maybe someone from the similar locality would help you where did they removed there CAT convertors from.

About the tire size, i gues the OEM size 165/70/r14 on the 2nd gen Vitz. Google the tire size calculator, i guess a +- 3% is allowable or maybe 2% is allowable.

In my vitz (gen1) OEM tire size was 155/80/r13 im using 185/65/r14 (which is around 3%) suits me How ever OEM says 185/60/r14
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

a few questions for vitz 2002 auto:

    1. what is the fuel average (petrol only) within city and highway?

    2. what is that o/d button and is it enabled when button is pressed or unpressed?

    3. Are tyres of size 195/55/r14 too big and will it affect the fuel average?
    Hail to the King Baeeeebay!!!!
