    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    @aabirgti
    if your air flow sensor is gone you can get a new one from KHI for 2-3000rs roughly. not sure how much toyota will ask for the checkup since they didn't charge me last time.

    @mwaqar
    from what i see the guy seems to know what he is talking about,... sounds worth a try.

    Maybe u should try and clean the MAF sensor before replacing it. I have a link somewhere about how to clean it and will try and post it here or i could email it to you when i find it.

    Ok for all you Vitz owners you may find this site interesting. It has a lot of DIY stuff for cleaning MAF sensors, throttle body, brakes, fuel filter etc. etc.

    I hope this helps

    About the Engine Orange Light...

    It didn't happened to my conversion of Vitz. Of course Rizwan (kkool) supervised the whole conversion on my request. So far, Al Hamd Lillah, its going as good as a Vitz could go.
    Landi Electronic Kit with emulator was installed. and the car was fine tuned on subsequent visits.

    @storm
    since you have bothered to give coordinates of Islamabad as your location, why not go one step ahead and give coordinates of your home
    (Actually I was hoping to get to your home when putting these coordinates in Google Earth)
    Aftermath...be prepared

    @IIqbal

    1. Due to New import policy the parts of vitz will be not avalible easily
    Due to new import policy, the value of these cars have actually gone up. They have changed the time constraint from 5 years to 3 years, which means you can not import cars older than 3 years. Now since you will not be able to import older cars, the value for those will eventually go up. Logical?

    2. all vitz cant be driven properly with CNG (My friend have 2003 model , fully loaded)
    My Experience, I had a Vitz 2002 for 2 Years, then a Vitz 2005 for 6 months and now I have a Vitz 2004 for more than 3 months, The first and last on CNG. It has a genuine problem with A/C turned on and picking it up from 0 speed, you just have to be a lil patient, but within .5 seconds, you can run it like anything, better pick than any other car (Santro is an exception).

    3. parts problem
    Now this is real funny, when I am on the roads of Lahore, I can see more Vitz than Mehrans to be frank. All the Auto Parts dealers have eyes too. Secondly I got my drivers side window glass broken by some car stereo lifetr last week and I got it from Bilal Ganj (NOT JANG ) in Rs 1800. The same for Mehran was 1100.

    4. some serious internal problem no one is available to fix it properly even Toyota workshop
    Go to any Toyota shop and for that matter any other roadside mechanic now a days and ask them yourself, this is not Hattaf 3 Missile man.

    5.Lots of problem in engine , if car have completed 80 K KM
    My First Vitz ran something like 150,000 and there was not a single problem with it (It ran on CNG for more than 1.5 Years). I sold it just cuz I liked the looks of new 2005 model.

    I hope I have answered many of your questions, in case there are any more ambiguities, please let me know
    When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
