    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    A-O-A,

    An urgent query to all Vitz 1.3L AT 2SZ-FE (2WD) Owners. I recently bought a 2007 Toyota Vitz 1.3L AT 2SZ-FE (2WD) and took it to my mechanic for changing lubricants and tunning and brakes. I got my engine flushed with Liqui Moly Engine Flush used Havoline Formula Oil with Original Toyota Oil filter and air filter. Got my CC checked and the first one was choked so changed with a special dholki prepared for vitz to maintain the pick, performance & sound. Car drive is awesome but i got only one problem. Once car is all warmed up and with a little bit of push on accelerator i hear a Grinding Whirring noise from the engine. The RPM would be around 1100 at that time but once i push it more it gets fine like on around 2000 RPM or maybe the engine becomes a little noisy on 2000RPM making that sound invinsible. i got it checked from different places and spent money on Timing Chain along with Timing Tensoner replacement and got the Water Pump changed as well but the sound is till there. Today my mechanic tried changing the generator and compressor but of no use the sound is still there.

    Please let me know if anyone of you having same car is facing same issue and how to resolve it.

    What are the reasons a Vitz feels dead choked?

    I saw a car, and it was dead choked, Im interested in it, But what could be the issues? Simple tuning or CAT or something big?

    The car was okay, on suspension and body, and engine sounds, But the choking was making it very loud, 61k on the ODO (im not sure if its genuine but was a 2007/11 and 2010 Registered.

    If its just tuning, whats the cost for sparkies?, Oil/AirFilters, Fuel pump/filters. etc
    Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

    First tell us the engine is it 2SZ-FE or 2NZ-FE?

    I paid 950 for each denso iridium spark plug, oil was about 4,000 shell helix ultra and airfilter 900 thai make. CVT oil is about 4,500 i think not sure but fuel filter is about 8k OEM and fuel pump shld be about 15k these are just estimates i'm telling you.

    There's no such thing as tuning in these cars. You will have to get the car scanned and probably you get a better picture. Could be burnt out spark plugs, oil/ filter needs changing etc.

    Where did you get them for rs.950? Seems reasonable. were they sk20hr11 ? or someother plugs?

    True, By tuning i meant plug adjustments, and throttle cleaning,

    Z.H. Autos at Plaza i usually buy all my stuff from him and he gives a reasonable rate and I was told by a friend that his stuff is original too.

    Yes they were Denso Iridium SK20hr11 plugs

    hi ppl..i have a question..i bought a vitz 2008. iam not familiar with its AT gear box transmission. What is meant by S and B.. i know D is for drive and P for parking etc..but not sure abt S and B .
    one more question, is vitz 1000cc gud for travelling to northern areas like murree nathigali. what gear combination shud b used while going towards uphill and downhill.. is it safe to travel in northern areas in vitz(1000cc)...thanks alot

    D drive
    S sporty (higher acceleration like 3rd gear)
    B barking (lower gear like 2nd or 1st)

    last june i visited northern area till jhall khud (NARAN), in vitz with three adult n 2 childs on-board, feel embarrassment in bad patch area / diversion and mud where touching bottom (low ground clearance ) after kiwai, but didn't fell any harassment due to vitz 1.0 engine. its iz my first trip on mountain driving but i learns more about auto tranny n get pleasure of driving while returning goto murree via abotabad (more upwards) with 1 tea break (giv time to car breath) n njoy the traveling
    MOVING DOWN hill
    dont use D when moving down wards, dont use accelerator and firstly move ur gear knob to S, dont frequently apply brake (got heat up due to friction and chances of brake failure) and than turn ur gear knob to B to maintain slow speed and apply brake if / when required
    MOVING UP WARDS
    gradually apply gear D to S and then S to B as per requirement,
    follow speed limit
    dont overtake when blind turn ahead
    avoid 99% to use hand brake
    always maintain gap in between your front car
    pay more attention on driving
    more important ! before leaving ur home town inspect / refresh ur car brake shoes

    Okay, So here i am after the 1SZ-FE this is my second Vitz, 1Kr-FE, What are the known problems and solution for this car?

    I havnt had a CVT before, So getting used to it will take time,

    I felt that wen i accelerate the car (full throtle) it feels that the RPM increase but the car doesnt moves any faster). Is it because of bad CVT, CAT or sparkies?

    Other then that i noticed that on bumps etc the headlights vibrate,

    Besides that the car is simply zaberdast to drive.

    wrong 8 air bags
    1 driver
    1 pasenger
    2 front pillers
    2 curtains
    2 rear pillers

    1- ur stock bulb iz nt fitted properly
    2- may b ur car lights hinges r broken which is clipped with under bumper twist ur light by hand if move freely you find d problem (i hav same issue with my after market light)

    Congrats on your purchase!!! Yes CVT is great to drive. Ask me I have a 1.0L Belta and doenst feel like its a 1.0L. Great pick.

    What's the original mileage? Accordingly, you'll have to go step by step. Check and see if the spark plugs need replacement but it never hurts to replace them anyways. Change engine oil and filter, airfilter as a first step and then see.

    bro use b and s for hilly areas
    rule of them . the gear u use 2 climb up , descend in the same gear n ull be safe n wont strain ur car

    n its an auto tranny so da best thing 2 do to nt strain the eng n trans is whn u c a steep climb ahead so start accelerating in advance , dun put the pedal to floor 1nce da climb starts , accelerate before that n go in a motion n ur vitz wont disappoint u
    n for download hill descend i switch between s and b depend on slope n speed of my car
    have also taken my vitz 1L beyond naran 30 to 40 kms ! a great ryd just have to be careful abt ground clearance
