    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    @amoizp @vitz @wzahoor

    Thanks for the sound advice.

    @amoizp

    You know i was actually looking for such an advice as i am a software engineer by profession and frankly dont get time for such actiivities, i once bought a 2nd hand local car and was very much disturbed by the daily or weekly maintainance it needed.

    So I think keeping all the above in mind i would probably go with a zero meter Alto VXR, or may Courey Auto transmission.

    Thanks for all your help!

    @amoizp @vitz @wzahoor @all

    confused:
    after the last post, I visited market and saw a witz 2004, after taking little drive on it, I am again quite confused.

    the luxury and style it offers is far more better than any local one, and here is the difference of price which is really very minor when considering all above.

    vitz 2004=630k
    alto vxr fl=500k or more - not confirm.

    so by considering this minor difference of price and keeping the luxurious difference between both I am again convinced about.

    so plz I am again looking for a sound advice from you people.

    Dear Alta

    I am in search of a 2004 Vitz. My budget is 525000. My concern is that the car might not be a fully loaded one but should be very clean, nice kept, low mileage, very very good condition just like new. Should be in white or silver color.

    If you have one, or if you can help me get one, then please send me email at sohailkhan111@hotmail.com.

    I shall be waiting for your response.

    Regards

    Sohail Khan

    @ Mr. Confused
    I really could not make out what level of obedience do you have, but being elder and senior in the field of Software Engineering as well, I would highly recommend that you go for Vitz. I myself am a Software Project Manager and cant get time out for parts hunting but for the first three years forget about maitainance until and unless God Forbid there is an accident. This 2004 Silver Vitz is my third in a row and I love the ride. And yes, even if you go for any local made car, please dont let any of us (Vitz Owners) know, cuz there is no comparison what so ever.

    Well thats going by the books and it helps for sure, I agree 100%. But one years insurance is something about 25000, Now if you see you dont get it back no matter what, until and unless you get hit, and otherwise which is most of the times, the Insurance company eats your Halal money out. Now looking at most of them, the kind of people and companies they are, I really would hate to let my money be eaten by these people.

    Dude you are absolutely right, but if you look at majority of the drivers, you cant drive around without insurance. In the current traffic situation, and that too in Lahore, you have to have insurance cover.
    There is one thing I would break up over and that is if she caught me with another woman. I wouldn't stand for that!

    @FaisalAmeer
    You are most welcome anytime. Well I dont really know where in Islamabad you can get a good deal, but try to keep it in the year range of 2002-2004. 2005 onwards is a different shape different engine car, it is very beautiful, but I think drive and convinience is almost the same, and yes the price difference is too much.

    @Robust
    I have done the calculations a thousand times yaaar, see, this is simple.
    A Car stereo thief stole my car stereo after breaking the drivers window. I got it in 1800/-, the same for Mehran is 1100/-
    Now in the city no matter how bad the drivers drive, the speed limits your chances to get engaged in an accident where you will have to spend more than 25000/- per annum.
    If you drive a little carefully, and specially on the highways, you can save yourself more than 2000/- bucks per month man, for a poor lil down to earth manager like me, it is a good saving.

    @Tyrone
    All the best buddy for your new ride. When I bought my 2nd Vitz, which was a 2005 Model, I had the choice of a Honda City same model in same price, i.e 750,000/- and I preferred Vitz. There is no local car like Vitz, The drive experience, th econfidence, the ease and comfort, everything is upto an international standard.
    When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

    well really depends which city your bother is in cuz most of the roads in pakistan arent worth runnning on 17". The cars suspension is heavily damanged and the ride aint smooth either..Ive got 15" on my vitz and even i have to be very careful on the bumpy roads otherwise it hits really hard
