    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

"B" can be used going uphill, similarly "S" can be used while coming downhill. However, question is not of which gear CAN be used. Question is which gear SHOULD be used.
Hence more logical in my opinion is that B should be used while going down-hill, whereas S should be used to go up-hill.

    I understand the idea of 'could' and 'should', however in my limited understanding;

D - regular fuel efficient driving,
personally use it for daily driving.
S - More responsive than D, but less than B,
good enough for overtaking on highway speeds
B - Braking and high torque,
good for going up or down the hill.
As for your point I agree, there is no other option to go down the hill other than B. However in order of acsent, I'd use D, S and B.
Its also good for pulling your car out of halt faster, try it.
I wouldn't shift to it at higher speeds due to low gear ratio.

Don't remove it. It's put there for a reason. With my experience I have never had to remove mine.

U need to buy spacers, Would cost 200-300 roughly, should be avalible at every audio shop, They come with all Corollas factory fitted.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Can somebody upload some pics from Detailing event at Garden Motors on last sunday? I was in Multan so I missed it. On the way back I speed tested my Vitz 2010 1F with 5 passengers and luggage and it easily touched 160 km/h. It could still go higher but the traffic did not permit it. Its a bloody A-bomb in a nutshell.

Dear Vitz Owners, I am faced with a AC Compressor issue. Recently I have started getting a noise when AC is On and I come to a stop in D or in R and there is a bad sound seems to be coming from the compressor, as soon as I close the AC the engine is soundless. I have gotten it checked with a few AC walas and mechanics and they are saying my Compressor is becoming weak hence the sound. They recommend to run it till the compressor gives up, as these are sensor Compressors so they cant be worked upon. An estimate is provided for PKR 28k for changing compressor and condensor complete work of Toyota model. I need experienced help!

    1. Is there an option to get it all serviced and avoid the cost?
    2. Should I go ahead and make changes?
    3. Should i just wait it out as the noise is very bothering to the mind.
    4. Can anyone suggest me a good AC wala in Karachi who know about VItz AC and I can go to him and get it checked.

Your urgent and experienced advise is awaited. Many Thanks!

Looking for some expert advice... The odd thing is that when in "N" or "P" it doesn't make any noise.. is it really a compressor issue as the AC runs fine.
