    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    Hello Guys

Today i unintentionally removed the Battery of my Vitz 1.3L, then after cleaning the Battery terminals i reconnected it, here comes the Problem when i started the car the Engine Starts vibrating in Idling mode & the RPM has reduced to 500RPM, I am sure the ECU computer has been reset & it needs retuning.

Now tell me how the best place in ISB who have this Computer facility for Vitz

    Regards
    Asad

No issue. First you just need to drive the car around for awhile until the ECU re-learns and sets the RPM accordingly and the vibration will stop.

No; as far as I know you don't. Unnecessary waste of money. Just drive around for awhile and it will set everything accordingly. If after that there is excessive vibration then you can have the car scanned.

I wanted to ask which spark plugs should i use for my vitz 04, we bought that car dec 2006 but gave it to my aunty, she hardly drove it 45k kms in 6 months, i will share the photos to. Add me the club i have read almost 150 pages of this forum and loving it, it made me remove my CAT converter today..and tell me about its correct gap aswell as i remember. i would love to see "storm" replying me....cause my car used to hit 160 km/h back in 07 and now when i tried to check its top speed it is hardly reaching 138, 140 km/h.
P.S My car is on petrol never driven on cng ever

you meant to say 6 years, not 6 months,

do share your experience after removing the CAT. I removed that 5 years ago when I bought my vitz, and I am still not sure if it made any difference or if i did the right thing. the good news is that I haven't faced an issue because of it (except the guild of hurting the environment)

Storm bhai doesn't reply to this thread anymore probably because of some stupid questions appearing on this thread over and over again.

as far as top speed and performance is concerned, it depends on a number of factors, I am listing some in no particular order
    • tires (size, condition, pressure, alignment)
    • filters
    • engine oil (viscosity and condition): I use 5w-30 or 5w40 fully synthetic oils as recommended by the manufacturer, regardless of what people here tell me. using thicker oil will make a noticeable decrease in performance and economy

as far as plugs are concerned, I used ngk platinum plugs, i couldn't notice any difference in performance or FE, but they were like new when I eventually changed them after using 60,000 km in more than 4 years

I have a 1st gen vitz, it settles the RPMs and vibrations within a minute of starting after reconnecting the battery, it shouldn't be much different in 2nd gen

thankyou for replying me back n yes i meant 6 years, well after removing the CAT i am still calculating the milage(its hard for me to calculate the milage as i never get my tank full) about sound, yes sound is slightly changed, the sound has become slightly thinner.
about the top speed thingy, the genuine plugs were decomposed by my aunt/khala and i don't which she re installed they were ngk (some sastay walay i believe)
how much did they cost you ?
about oil, so i went for caltex havoline formula last time around.
and tyres are 185/70. on alloy rims(it came with alloys from japan).

    very neat ride, masha'allah.

I am not sure about the price of the plugs, but I can check. they cost a bit more than regular plugs, but they last longer and you don't have to regap them. but i dont think there'd be a noticeable difference in performance

caltex havoline formula is 10w30 i guess, which is good for vitz.

Guys i need some help regarding tires if u could be kind enough to provide me some input.

I have got 16 inch wheels on my vitz 2005 with tires 195/45/R16.

This profile seems very low to me. If i want to keep the same size rims what profile can i install keeping the available space and tire weight in mind with respect to Vitz?

Also i hit a pothole in lahore and front tire had a cut. I have gotten it repaired as i could not find the same tire at the tire shop. Can i safely travel on the motorway back to islamabad with the repaired tire keeping in view the hot temperatures?

Thankyou sir , topspeed is my concern its like 20,25 less than it used to give me.
i am still calculating the fuel consuption after removing the CAT and yes Pick/Accelerations has really improved especially on AC. it is like 200% improved on AC.
I don't feel that car is heavy even when AC is on.
