    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    many have said that we should use 2tip plugs in the vitz, but i don't buy into that BS. i use single tip plugs in my car. technically there is no "tuning" for the vitz as it is all controlled by the engine management. as long as all the components are clean and working correctly there should be no reason to open the bonnet on these cars.

    don't know anything about CNG.

    Hi Storm! Can you take a look at https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply_az_TopicID!58980~ForumID!1~pw.html

    It has nothing to do with any technicality of any sort but since you have a couple of cars, you might know a bit about it

    Well I am a lot into experimentation when it comes to the spark Plugs, this is the beauty I used for my Vitz 2005...

    Toyota Vitz OwnersFan Club -771934

    These cost a bit high, like it was 900 PKR Per piece. For my Vitz 2004 I am using Bosch 4 Tip spark plugs, but to tell you the truth I havent seen much of a gain by using any of these, stock ones are as good as these when it comes to mileage and pick and stuff.
    If at all you want experiment use any of these from the list:
    TOYOTA VITZ 1000CC
    Vehicle Code SCP10
    Engine Code 1SZ-FE
    Stock Plugs K16R-U
    Genuine Part Number 90919-01176
    Iridium Power IK16
    Iridium Tough VK16
    Iridium Racing IK01

    Here is an IK 16

    Just if you feel like knowing more about it...

    Oh and for the CNG thing... Well I look at a mechanic as a physician. I prefer practinioers at the Govt Hospitals more than the private clininc only doctors, reason is obvious, their exposure is simlpy too much. Same is the case, the best mechanic is the one who has got the most exposure and then its your luck if you find someone who really diagnoses the problem of your ride correcctly (and timely I must say).
    For me there is this kid who does not even own a garage, a road side kinda mechanic but he knows his stuff and when given the permission, experiments. The name is Majid, works on a CNG filling station near Morre Samanabad. Once he is not available I goto the ones who fitted my CNG at CNG Solutions, Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, Township.
    Frabkly speaking it is not them who would fix your car, it is you who knows clearly what you want them to do for you.
    When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

    ok guyz i want to discuss one thing..

    how many of us have removed catalyic converter ??? and why. I had discussed it with my mechaenic and he says that u do not need to remove it because it was an issue in old cars like 99-02 and now its different u do not need to remove it. it releases the unused gases so you do not need to put it out.. I need your views !!

    my vitz is running since 9 months and i have never felt such issue.. so i have no plans to remove it. i want experts opinion

    i'm using IK16 denso iridiums on my surf and ther eis absolutely NO difference to the original 1 tip denso plugs i had in ther before, maybe they'll last longer...

    @vitz
    it depends on how it is driven and what the real mialge is. my vitz still has it's catalytic converter in it as i'm pretty strong aout leaving it in there as long as i can. however since out fuel contains lead it is killing hte cat slowly and eventually we'll have to remove it no matter what. after comparing my car to skullboxes car i have found my car to be slightly choked but still performing reasonably (should last another few 1000kiloometers)

    @ParDesi
    it's cheaper to get the stuff from KHI.

    @all

    I just purchased a Vitz 04 model y'day after checking out a number of cars in different showrooms, but this one caught our eye plus the person who imported it guaranteed that the meter reading was genuine and not tampered with and it is showing 67991 km.

    This car is in excellent condition and seems to be well maintained and my denter / mechanic was also satisfied with it. Many of the cars we saw in the showrooms were touched up according to him and we rejected them. In one or two cases he proved it to the showroom dealers and they were red faced .

    Will post some pics of the car in another thread when I take them out.

    @storm
    Why do Caltex / Shell etc. say that they sell un-leaded fuel if there is lead in the fuel? Is there any way to check if the CAT is blocked before removing it by using diagnostics software?

    ok fine deal as you have said car is in excellent condition..
    you will face some issues initially like height problem if 2+ persons are sitting on back seats so u might need to lift it up.. or if you are going for the CNG (although i would never recommend it believe me it will not cost you too much on petrol only 1000-1500 difference i guess. Also make sure you find a good mechanic if some thing goes wrong make sure he have some exp on imported cars.
