    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

I have 2002 vitz and experience knocking sound at times and I also have the cat removed. But I am not sure if this is related to cat. I think it happens with poor quality fuel. Try some other patrol pump/brand. And make sure your air filter is clean.

for people who have vitz 05 and above. removed the CAT. the acceleration improved, but i noticed a lag before the car accelerated and low RMP knocking and the fuel average dropped a little. so today i installed a kabliee CAT. acceleration almost the same. but the lag and knocking are gone. piece of advice don't get the CAT removed. the O2 bank one and two get confused as one is on the header the other is on the down pipe i.e. before and after the CAT

I am also considering switching to good quality branded third party filters because of uncertainty of genuineness of Toyota/denso parts

IMO use guard filters...and change them with every oil change at 2500km.

Yes lepon filters work good enuff, You just have to replace them at every change up, or either source genuine TOYOTA parts, Since ive bought my 2007 Vitz, ive got the oil changed twice, 1st Toyota filter wasnt avalible so i got a lepon one, costed around 250-350, I always bugged me if i got thugged, Next time i bot a Toyota Filter for 750, or 850 Its packing was opened, Inside the filter had no Toyota markings aswell, So their are chances i got a fake one too, So its actually better to go for Guard or OIC or Lepon filters

PS : Even in regular filters LEpon Malaysia is priced lesser then Guard (pakistani) filters

Kya hogya hai bhae? 2500 kms oil change are you driving a mehran? Using synthetic and expensive oils, changing them every 2500kms isnt feasible bhaiya, Guard is i guess not making new Vitzes oil filters yet,

Well bro I change oil at max 3k, and no synthetic oils..stuck with mineral oils and going good..
Plus guard makes those filters, available easily.

And what does this have to do with a mehran?

    Dear Friends,

Can someone recommend an expert/workshop for removing CAT from my VITZ 2007 model in LAHORE except Toyota?
I recently visited BhurBan and Car was not even able to move upward smoothly and consuming more fuel.
I feel acceleration is very low due to CAT chowk.

use some hi octane and change air filter. CAT might not b the cause of it.

I would also recommend keeping the cat, as these engines are designed to work efficiently with the CAT present. ppl have reported on this forum that they have experienced decrease in low-end torque and overall performance after removing CAT. and some have re-installed kabuli CATs to regain the car's original performance.

I use fully synthetic oils with genuine filters and change them after 8000 - 10,000 km. and Alhamdolillah, my 2002 vitz is still going strong after more than 5 years in Pakistan. I haven't faced a single issue related to engine throughout this period. I will be crossing the 100,000 km mark in the next few days.

In pick or acceleration it beats a 1.3 corolla but in the long run it's pick decreases and it takes a long time to accelerate... In what terms do you mean the output?
