    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    ^Okay, thanks
My friend, told me that he covered xx distance in xx amount of points i.e liters.
Been arguing with him, use the tank 2 tank method, instead of trusting points lol

I fail to understand how people calculate the points thing. Needles and points are an approximation and the actual calculation of mileage is autofill then run a good 300kms and autofill again. It will give u the petrol average. Now i would like to point out that the pic shared by faisal is confusing. As it should effectively be two points down because he himself said the point dropped after just 4 more kms

    213.5/2= 106.75 km.
    1 point=106.75 km.
    8 points = 854 km.

If Vitzs' fuel tank can carry 42 liters- He is getting an average of 20.3 km/l.

Yes that is why i said its confusing. A vitz in full tank would not be doing more than 550 to 600 kms. My vitz drops the first point sometimes on 60, 70, 80 or 90. So its kind of random as i always get a within city average of 15~ 17 km/l average with tank to tank method.

Its not confusing.. Before it used to drop the first point around 100 and 2nd at 175. Same fuel station and the tank filled upto the cap.
I do not calculate the average by points. They all drop at different intervals.
I uploaded the pic and went to get it washed and the point dropped so i just edited the post.
Why i uploaded this pic? Because i have done few things before this tank filled. Ch?nged air filter, cleaned catalytic converter, cleaned plugs and fuel injecters, cleaned fuel filter, tyres pressure 32 in all tyres and did a reset to that ecu thing by disconnecting the battery and the mechanic connected the obd scanner and did sime fancy things..
It has improved by a lot.. Fuel consumption and the drive both. I will update the post when the reserve light is on. I always fill it at reserve and it takes 38.1** litres.

Bro, Can you share some details of cleaning process of catalytic converter, everyone here gets it removed instead of cleaning.

They disconnected it from the engine and soaked it in a solution for 3 hours. That solution was water and fairy platinum(dish washing liquid). After that they washed it with water and then cleaned it again with carburetor cleaner and then dried it with pressured air. After all this, i was able to see through the honeycomb 'jaali'.

It was done by Honda Canal Bank service centre. My friend knows a mechanic in there who cleans his Civic's catalytic for him.
As Toyota guys don't clean it so i asked him if he can talk to him?? We went there and he asked us to get it removed from the nearby shop and bring it to me. We did as he said and he started the process within the workshop. All he did was soaking it in fairy solution and cleaning with carb cleaner and dried it with air.. Charged 3000 for that!!!!!!!!!!! 500 to other shop who removed and installed it back.
I recommend you doing the same to save your hard earned money. Carb cleaner for 300rs and fairy cleaner for 250.. Fairy is used in UK to wash dishes and when i saw it, it reminded me my early days in London when i used fairy to wash dishes in a hotel.. :p It should be available at any good super store.. I saw it at Rainbow store on the canal bank road next to Thokar Niaz Baig.

good to see the excellent fuel milage. From where have you got all these fancy things done?? Regarding CAT i have heard that once opened it can not be closed back. Please guide me in this. I would like to get the same work done for my drive.

P.S what about vibration in your Vitz?
