    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

No, Its not appropriate size Bro. U have to use 185/70 R14. That will not disturb ur drive from any aspect. And the purpose will be met also.

Never ever use Zic oils in your cars.. Particularly 0w30 and Zic a+. Zic xq is good but very expensive.. Not worth it.
Never get your fuel filter cleaned. Get it changed if you are sure that it needs to be changed and get it done from very expert. If in Lahore, Toyota Airport motors are the best. Once fuel filter is opened, it can not be closed properly and keeps leaking slowly and you will end up bad fuel average and fuel smell in your car and bad fuel pressure.
Oil for the best fuel economy is Shell helix hx7 E. 1900rs for 3 litres. If you want to spend more then Toyota tin 10w30 is best. As discussed with an automotive engineer, outside temperature does not have anything to do with the type of engine oil. It all depends on the condition and age of engine. Vitz does not need synthetic oil really.. Unless you want to drive for long intervals.
50% normal and 50% high octane gives the best driving experience and best fuel average resulting in economical fueling.
There is nothing as 'tuning' of Vitz. Keep using high octane and you will have your throtle body cleaned and no Cat Con clogging.
Reset ECU if you change anything in your car. Changing fuel type, oil type or tyre size etc.
Do not use Alco air filter. They used be good but now crap.
Never remove cat con. Clean it or if its dead blocked then get another one from Bilal ganj.
Turn off the A/C before switching off your car.
Warn up the engine for about 1min before driving and do not drive aggressively until 5kms.
When idle.. Change gear to neutral.
If soft tyres then 35 air pressure and if hard 30 in all tyres.
Total fuel stations are getting white petrol now a days so try to avoid it.
I checked today my average. Full tank upto the cap. 82kms driven in Lahore with ac on all the time and then filled again upto cap and 5litres were consumed.
Brother, Which Petrol Should be preferred now ??? Total, Attock or Zoom ??? Or Any Else ?

I haven't tried many stations but in my opinion, Attock liberty and Zoom MM alam road are good.
Pso jail road and pso cavalry ground have good reputation as well.
I have never used shell more than once as the car started knocking.

185/70/14 is the best size if you want to keep the rims to 14.
If going for 15" rims then 195/60/15 is good. It has the same height as 185/70/14 but a lil bit wider.
These both tyres do not touch the body.
As suggested by YasirShafeeq.. 185/70/14 is good option.

Mechanic at Toyota Airport motors told me that you can buy a nearly new Cat from there for about 7000. But if you do not use high octane, thats gonna get blocked as well.

Just disconnect the battery terminls for 30 secs and then connect again. ECU has been reset..
Don't do it if you have that Japanese navigation system in ur car. As it will ask you to insert correct map sd card. In this case, go to any good workshop and ask them to do it for you.

I got a quote from someone for a brand new Cat for Vitz @ 42k. Toyota guys told me its cost as 80k just a few weeks back. However, why only Hi Octane can keep the CAT clean?? If we get impure /imperfect Fuels, how can Hi Octane remains safe from such imperfections etc?

Mine wasn't a mechanic. So it seems the 42k figure is more believeable.

Can't say for sure.. But buying a CAT for 42k is just stupidity IMO. Just get It cleaned nd replace it with bilal ganj's if its completely blocked.

Other same look DVD players are from Premier and Dellson but they are crap..
sorry! i read your post late...
that 11k dvd player was Dellson which I bought but after reading your post, I am thinking to invest another 5k and upgrade it to rockmars..
