    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

I don't get one thing, I've been asked by so many people if a I'm interested in selling my ride and all, but whenever I plan to sell it, I get dead slow response. This dude had me pullover, saw my car and offered 700k on spot. I stuck to 750k minimum This other @rse expected me to take his Mehran VX and give him my vitz. And he was disappointed when I rejected his offer :p it was a 2013 model Euro II with two repainted doors. :p

I've been using a Cultus 2009 since the last week. It's given me a backache. The car is a PITA to drive. No power steering, no power windows, nothing. I asked my dad if he wanted to exchange our vitz with the Cultus and this is the first time he straight away said no. :p

xli is 1.3l. You can't drive vitz more than 40km/h on bad roads where xli goes at 80km/h without any problem. You get a big trunk at the back. Excellent resale, cheaper spare parts, mechanics available everywhere. Does not need high octane :p does not die with fivepersons on board with air conditioner on. And no engine noise inside the car. It's considered a big family car. Overall more comfortable. And so many other benefits.
I'm not a fan of xli and will buy used gli instead of new xli just because of ABS brakes.

    Brother,
Rs. 1200 are too too much high for Belt Change. It would be Rs. 150 to 300 only. Have u done any other work from them ??

For oil, i'll probably opt for Toyota 5W-30 or Total Quartz 9000 5W-30, as i have been using these 2 oils in my altis for past 2 years and their performance is satisfactory as compared to Toyota 10W-30.
I am apprehensive about throttle body service, since I am yet to come across some one who can properly service the throttle body in LHR.
I have already had a bad experience with Honda 3S mechanics for servicing the throttle body as they screwed my idle sensor calibration and I had to re-adjust it myself.
Since the car idles rough even in N mode, and the roughness intensifies when i turn on the lights.
However, what I have noticed is that when i came to a halt after 30mins of continuous driving, the roughness wasn't there any more, perhaps the battery got charged?
Check ur Battery Ah and voltage from a proper voltage meter. I think Issue is in the battery as u said the Car is very less driven.

I seen here Most of the people worried about to Reset ECU. I am not the Engineer but in my Personal Experience with Vitz 2006 I have learnt through mechanics, and as another Member discussed here, When u remove battery terminals and reconnect them, it Resets itself and if vibration occurs due to Low RPMs it will Get back to normal RPMs when u drive the car two or three days or Approximately 50 kms or above, and the vibration will disappear. Just want to share to reduce the anxiety of fellow members. Best of Luck

Faisal Imtiaz has elaborated the Best to u, Further i want to say, There are Four major Difference in Vitz and Mira ES:
    1. Fuel Consumption of Mira ES is Better than the Vitz, as the Engine power is different.
    2. Suspension of Vitz is better as compared to MIRA ES
    3. Passenger Cabin and Overall capacity of Vitz is much better than Mira
    4. Overall Looks of Vitz are much better than Mira ES.

Resale and Maintenance are easy in Lahore / Islamabad / Karachi.

As I seen in Pakwheels Lahore Auto Show Dated March 16, 2014 Vitz RS 1.8 is also available in Pakistan. I have also posted her pics on this forum after that show. But Vitz RS 1.5 is more common. I agree

I was going through adds on OLX. I saw this vitz's add. The pictures were taken in the same style as of the add I saw when buying my vitz. The number turned out to be the same aswell. The guy deals in vitz's 1999-2004. He buys them cheap, spends some bucks on them and sells them. He's selling 4 Vitz's at the moment.
