    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

So when you drive over a bumpy or road with potholes, slow down and cross it.

Thanks for the clarification! Can you guess the RIM from the picture I posted. Its probably on the same page you're right now.

Can anyone guess the tire and RIM size along with their company (tire and RIM both)?
After searching a lot on internet I think these are Lenso White Project D. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Buying new branded rims is very difficult now.. Shopkeepers have used branded rims dented and painted to make them just like new. Lenso is a famous brand as far as i know. There are few shops at Jail road that sell used branded rims in excellent condition. Not painted. You just need to search for them. Streets between the showrooms are full of such shops. If not used then go to Faisal town or Neela gumbad.
For tyres, if you want the best then Pirelli and Michelin are the best option. One of my friend is using Pirelli in his City and even after 1 year, they look just like new with excellent grip and comfort. GT radials are also good. Yasir Shafiq is using them. I have Yokohama DNA ECOS 300. Very soft and fuel efficient tyres. It all depends how much you want to spend. I exchanged my existing tyres and rims with the new ones. Tyre was 6000 each. Old tyres were adjusted for 4000 and old rims for 3000. Buy fresh tyres. There is a date stamped on them make sure they are of 2014.

If u want new rims then go for SH rims, (Chinese) they are of good grade paints and quality. THey Will Cost u approx Rs. 18000 and New Tyres GT Radial or Yokohama Ecos will cost u around 26,000. Total Cost approx Rs. 44,000. In My opinion R14 is more fuel efficient and good for suspension and Silent drive. R15 looks aggressive but benefits are lessor.
Never underEstimate anyone. Might be a charade has a v8 in his heart.

I had my ride's CAT filter taken out today. Once removed, the check light came on. I reset the ECU myself and it went away. It came back after 5 mins. I was infront of toyota Cantt motors. I had it scanned. The mechanic there said that he has removed it for now, but it would come back ans there is no CAT filter and the oxygen sensor would have carbon deposited on it. I went back to the person who removed the CAT. He sent me to this guy who erased the light and said tthat my O2 sensor is faulty. It's giving the wrong values. He said that it had been set by the ECU to deal with the blocked CAT. He said that the heat valve is open and that I would have to replace it. It has not comeback as yet. He took of the O2 cable and put it back after 5-6 secs. He said it would come back on after a while as the O2 sensor is not working. What should I do now? I'll be screwed by my family for messing with the car!

Also, i had the gear oil changed. Only 2 liters came out. And the same amount was needed again! So only 2 liters were filled and it showed the max mark.

There is another senson at the back of the silencer. You need to remove that as well.

I read it somewhere that to tackle the engine light problem, you need to remove the back senson as well. This is the sensor which reads the pressure coming and when there is no cat, exhaust gases move freely caising the wrong reading.
And I'm back to London now so not much of a use :p
