    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    i'm tempted to do a DIY at either my other house or KPsheikhs place. but as i'm very very busy lately i might just get it done at the fire brigade.

    @waleed80
    early on in this thread i posted the costs, you can get them from shell F7. they have both the local and imported filter, i think the imported one is 700rs.

    @speed_manan
    because the average is dropping, car isn't as responsive as it was a few weeks back and it doesn't want to rev freely.

    it happend pretty suddenly to my car, and a few other people i know, so i guess that is what is going to happen the smae way to you as well.

    if you are not too sure as to the age and condition of your fuel filter i'll suggest you replace it for peace of mind.

    you'll never find a real intake in PK as nobody is bothered to make allowances for the air flow sensor etc. instead all these idiots do is fit a open filter to the airbox and suck up hot air from the engine bay (but it makes a deep noise, which makes it feel faster).

    got a new oil filter toyota for 275 and air filter of some malaysian brand for 300 from plaza karachi. is any particular brand recommended for air filter?

    and i havent been able to get ZIC A from plaza. A plus was readily available for Rs. 1050 for 4 Ltr Pack.

    where can i get ZIC A from then?
    what price?
    and if not ZIC A, then then next best thing would be?
    how is TMO itself?

    @sqahar

    TMO is quite good. Storm also used that for his oil change.

    I paid 300 for my air filter toyota brand from Shell petrol pump at clifton.

    I had Guard airfilter from saddar Rwp, Its good quality as (i dont think spending the 700 for imported is good choice when u have to change it after couple of months). It only costed 225 Rs. Who says that the parts are costly...

    @cache
    thanx 4 repeating my words.n further thx 4 ur welcom offer.
    @all getting low mileage
    i talked 2 a friend of mine abt this issue.he is teacher in vehicle diploma engineering instt. in multan. heres wat he had 2 say:
    1:clean ur filter regularly.fortnightly was his recomendation.
    2:milage is a function of air n fuel.so hi speeds will obviously give u bad mileage.specially,the kick down racing terribally destroys it. higher loads do the same.
    3:tyres n breaks are the most overlooked parts.always use manufacturer recommended tyres,wat so ever.keep ur tire properly aligned. mostly, ppl actualy MISCALCULATE mileage by ignoring the % error introduced due to tyre size deviation 4m recomendation.
    4: nothing but lubricants can affect mileage.so always use company recomended oil specs. n a good petrol as well. caltex or total is recomended.
    5:take proper care of break n gas pedals.shouldent get hard.

    i hope some ppl find it helpfull. all the other tips like plugs etc etc mentioined by storm bhai n others should also b considered.
    i think phir baat lambi ho gayee. aj to kawa baryani bhi nahi khayee thi .
    take carez.
