    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

Change your tyres to 185-70-14 from 165-70-14. It will imprive the ground clearance roughly about 2".
2nd option is to install spacers in the rare shocks.
If your current tyres are in good condition then use the spacers otherwise go for new tyres 185-70-14
Yokohama dna ecos, Yokohama advan db are good tyres. Make sure you buy soft tyres and not the hard ones.
    Dear Faisal

Moving from 165/70/R14 (588mm/23.1") to 185/70R14 (616mm/24.3") will result in 1.2" ground clearance.
Moving from 165/70/R14 (588mm/23.1") to 195/70/R15 (655mm/25.8) will result in 2.7" ground clearance.

my question is whether 195/70/R15 is compatible for this model?

Dear Bro, Faisal is out of country. For ur info i can guide u as well, 195/70/R15 is not compatible, it will touch the body. 195/65/R15 are compatible. But best option is 185/70/R14.

    Thank you Yasirshafeeq,

Yokohama 195/70/R15 is the least (F) fuel efficient class as well.

I was also considering 195/65/R15 (635/25") as it will give 1.8' ground clearance. And 215/55R16 (643/25.3") ground clearance of 2.15".

Although 185/70/R14 will give me same ground clearance as of Cultus. But in Karachi I will have to visit rocky areas (once road was there) occasionally in that if I visit in Cultus touches the ground.

    What is your opinion?
And could you please tell me, whether I would be required to change OEM RIMs as well if I chose above two options?

Yara, In Lahore I am very satisfied with OEM rims + 185/70/R14. But as per company recommendation we can Opt from 14" rim to 16" Rims. But in 1.0L car 16" is heavy in my opinion. It would be preferable to remain with the OEM rims and 185/70/R14. But as u talking about Rocky Road Dont Go Above 195/65/R15. Coz 16" rims will use low-Profile tyres, that will affect ur vitz suspension. Plz Do Remember about width of rims, Our Standard OEM rims are 5" wide, and u should not increase from 6" wide rims as per company recommendation. Else consumption will be affected and also It can touch the car Body while max-Turns.

Well recently I got shifted to 185/70/R14 from stock. I think the drive is smoother than before. This size looks optimum

Yes, Exactly this size suits more than the Stock Tyres, Coz it fills the Blank Gaps Under Body of the car. Looks as Best Fit. And Bigger tyre wall Protects car's suspension from unWanted Shocks on the Rough Roads.

You are getting pretty decent fuel average. Use 5w30 grade engine oil in your car. Keep the air pressure 30 front 32 rear. It will improve the average.
Genuine and official Toyota air filter is available from Toyota 3s shops for around 1400rs. Its made in Thailand.
Other Made in Japan air filters are available from good oil change shops. If in Lahore, filter house outlets has got some genuine stuff.
