    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    Ok here goes.

My air filter and plugs were just as bad as yours so I changed them and put new ones. I changed the air filter from a Shell Pump and paid about 300 rs. Also changed the oil filter and put a toyota one when changing the oil, this too from shell pump at clifton. The plugs (Rs.150 each), atf (rs. 378 per can used 2.75 cans but had to remove some as they filled in extra) and labour was about 1,200 with car wash service. This was done at Toyota Society at Khalid Bin Waleed road.

The guy at Prime Defence I spoke to Mr. Farid said he would charge me Rs.300/- for the onboard diagnostics checkup and if anyting needed replacement cleaning etc then separate charges. He said he would clean the throttle body and the pick would improve considerably. You can speak to him and give my reference if he still remembers me

About your mileage, its definitely rolled back but as long as the engine is in good condition then its perfect. Avg. mileage per year should be about 9-11k kms.

well shani, tyre specifications are mentioned on the side-wall of the tyres i.e the visible part of tyre. just go n read wats written on ur tyres. then compare to the values i mentioned earlier. secondly, the way u r driving ur car is the perfect weay to drive. 60kmh,smmoth throttle, less weight, proper lubrications, tuned engine...every thing seems to b ok. the only doubt in my mind is abt ur brakes.hmmm, but u r saying drive is smooth.by the way, wat is the milage u r getting r so worried?

i did a DIY intake manifold cleaning thread a while back but many muppets on PW didn't like the fact that i used WD-40 instead of various other fluids (liek carb cleaner) to clean it but here it is:

    https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply...mID!27~pw.html

the air flow sensor is a much more delicate item and shoudl be cleaned with great care using a Q-tip /cotton bud.

    Salaamz All,
Looks like I had been missing quite a few important things lately... Hope everyone and everything is fine...
Yaaar, no one except for one showed interst in my Brilliant idea of making a tracker ourselves which is cheaper and free of monthly/annual charges etc. Thats sad, and no electrical/electronics engineers around? even sadder

Thanks Buddy, I simply have no doubt about your willingness to be team with me on this unless otherwise.
Just to give you an idea however, we can use any GPS + GSM device to track our car's current location and to give it certain commands on how to behave under what conditions. The device is readily available in the market. We might need an electrical/electronics engineer to get the PCB decorated with the given diagrams.
    Regards.

Well Sobia, I can for sure refer you to a good electrician
Go n see Mr Majid at the CNG fuel station near Samanabad Morre, his elder brother is an auto electrician and he is good too.
By the way if you want to isolate your O2 Sensor just because of the check engine lighht I recommend you dont let it ride you head. Just be calm and keep on driving your ride.

The improvement is marvelous masha Allah. Aur jahaan tak zubaan kaa ta'aluq hai to bhayee nista'alique Urdu bhhee bolee jaa saktee hai, jaisaa aap kaa hukam. Hum jaisay haqeer pur-taqseer nachheez logon kee kiya majaal aap kee hukam adoolee kee.

    @DreamGirl
First thing first... NOUNS start with CAPITALS.
Second thing, you can get the address from Majid himself, I have sent you his cell number.
Third thing, yes in the city 80 KM/Cyl is ok with full AC and if you want to maitain the pickup of the car. Again what I have guessed is that you are an aggressive driver so 80 is fine, I also get the same in the city. Cuz I simply dont let anyone snatch the way that is my right. If someone requests no issues, but snatching is something I simply dont appreciate.
And the fourth and last thing, agar aap kaa CNG waalaa issue resolve ho gaya thhaa to uss ko share karnaa bhee aap hee kaa kaam thhaa. You should have let us know, being a responsible pak-wheeler that is.
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

sorry to barge in on your discussion, but im on the look out for a cng mechanic for my steermatic. After a telephonic conversation with jameel i concluded that i'd be taking a leap of faith if i let him convert my steermatic to cng. So, to cut to chase, does this mechanic, that you mention near gangaram's , qualify as an expert of cng conversion of auto's. Can you please leave his name and no. here if he in your opinion does qualify as an expert of sorts.
