    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

In city, Mine is giving 12-13 km/l, i have tried everything but it doesn't goes above it.

I have seen people claiming to get 16 km/l in city, but i don't believe these claims.

2nd generation vitz is not good with fuel economy.

I can read 2 mileages on the export certificate, one is 55,000 dated 2014 and one is 35,400 dated 2013.

Where as the auction sheet says 31,000. An export certificate is made before the car is auction, A car maybe driven after its export certificate is made but once its auctioned its moved to the port and isnt driven. So somethings definitely fishy. Auction sheet mileage cannot be less then the export certificate mileage

PS: The sheet looks authentic too.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

I am getting 16.5 to 17 km/L with hard foot on accelerator, and 18 to 18.5 with normal to slow driving in city.
I get above 20 on highways.

Please be informed that combined fuel consumption of Vitz is 21.6 km/L as given by the manufacturer according to their standards of testing.

My inter-city mileage is 16-17 km/ltr (Eco OFF) , so i guess your mileage is fine.

21.3 km/ltr i acheived while going on highway (60% city drive, 40%Highway drive) with AC on going one way. It was a 120 km trip.

Tips that might help (hypermilling works)..
Turn Eco OFF, it chokes your car.
Fill your tank with a 70:30 Petrol:HOBC mix.
Engine oil 5w30 (I use liqui moly)
Check air filter regularly (Try using leppon, its cheap and very good. Rs.400 as compared to Rs.1500 original. I change it every 2 months even though its "clean")
Regularly monitor tyre pressure (once a month is enough) I maintain 28psi in my OEM tyre size 165/70/14
Drive with windows closed and AC on when on open roads, reduces air drag.
Learn to manage your acceleration pedal. Heavy foot causes loss in power, more fuel loss, nd sluggish acceleration.
Try not to use brakes alot, keep your eyes open and drive intelligently.
Try and fill up your car in the early hours of the morning (like fajar) as the fuel is cleaner then due to lesser turbulence in tank.
    Hope it helps bro

I think you are maintaining less air pressure in your tyres.
You should have 35psi in front and 34psi in rear tyres. Follow these and improve your milage.
