    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    Thank you everyone for your kind wishes.

    @Salman
    Yes bro, right you are. It is a standalone PC just like the one you have in your rooms, except for onething, we have tried to get rid of the need of KeyBoard and Mouse.

    Oh yes, for the OBDII, it is the on-board diagnostics device that reads different stats from the ECU/Sensors of the car and shows it on some other device, that other device in here I want to make it as the same PC.

    There is one thing i find hard to digest. How come people who have bought new shape vitz 2005 onwards with low mileage and high grades are still having so many problems with their cars. Finding it hard to imagine. If any new pakistani manufactured car doesnt give any problems for atleast 2 years.
    Then how come almost new japanese manufactured cars are giving so many problems to pakistani owners.

    The only answer i can think of is that these people have bought low grade high mileage cars which have tampered meters and made to look like 5A grade cars.

    Seriously how can a japanese manufactures original 5A car with low mileage can give so many problems.

    Even my poorly manufactured santro doesnt give any problem.

    All new shape vitz owners, shed some light on this topic.

    I already gave you the mechanics details... please refer to him

    @Maverickkk
    What you have said is very right plus there are numerous other factors... like the quality of fuel and lubricants that we have available here, the mechanics that "TUNE" our cars, the roads and then above all our experiments

    Fellows,

    i have just removed the catlatic converter from my car yesterday. The pick of the car has increased by 30-40% more. I hope this will now give more fuel efficency as my previous check was 4.24 per KM with 50% AC on petrol. My advice to every owner is to take it out if we want to see an increase in the performance of the car.

    @dreamgirl
    sounds to me that your timing is off (plug fires when intake valves are open/opening instead of when they are closed). get it checked. worst carse is that your plugs are generating spark too late, but that is VERY unlikely.

    Alhamdolillah

    I have a new shape vitz its i have checked the average it has given 550 KMS in 50 liters of fuel. 90% AC on.

    Well yesterday I came back from lahore before going I removed the battery terminal and i was shocked to know that the key doesnt work without the battery. the car was locked and nothing could be done.

    i got a mechanic who opened the car base fearing and put reached the battery and touched the terminal and i opened the car!!!

    well it was a real hassel. He told me that you do not need to remove the terminal it wont affect the battery.

    Is it normal that the car doesnt open with the key when the terminal is out.

    Assallam o allaykum Brothers

    i have posted this TOPIC in main forum, but later see that there is a Specific area for VITZ. So here i m.

    I have bought a Vitz 2000 Model imported in Karachi in august 2007.

    I loved this car until i bought it. But from then I have been in trouble. Anyhow, I still love this car. Nice Interior, Sporty Exterior and pleasure drive.

    I have few questions and need help from you peoples.

    1) My O2 Sensor is not OK, there fore i have to replace that. It shows Check Engine light, and Toyota Showroom told me that O2 Sensor has gone.
    So where i can get the O2 Sensor ? and what would be the price and how i can check that if the New O2 Sensor is OK or Not ?

    2) What is the purpose of this O2 Sensor ?

    3) I need to know who is the BEST CNG WALA, FOR VITZ IN KARACHI ? As there are many who told me not to make it CNG ??? any idea ?

    So people, please help me as there are a lot of peoples making fool the new one. SO i need to get a good idea, of it.

    Thanks
    & Best Regards !

    @dreamgirl

    how's the performance of your car with this burnt air filter issue?? if the car's not performing as before then storm is probably right. let us know what happens when u take it to the mechanic!

    @mbkhan

    u might have the version that has embedded RFID in the key. and it only works with battery plugged in. if this is the case, then even if you make a duplicate of this key... it won't work! only authorised toyota dealerships can make a duplicate for you!

    @2fastnfurious

    good to hear that! do share more details... e.g. where did u get it removed from?

    @zeeshanhashmi

    prime defence motor (on main korangi road) is a good place to get vitz checked. and for cng, i got mine from friends cng near baloch colony and am satisfied with it. please search pakwheels for more details on it.

    @all

    guys, the battery that came with my vitz was discharging very quickly. so finally i thought it was time to change it. it was a japanese one and looked like 3-4 years old. anyways, i went for a bosch maintenance-free battery. was a bit expensive, but looked like the best option (best match with the one fitted too as both were 40Ah) among the ones available. any one else used it?

    @zeeshan

    I second amoizp's suggestion. Try Prime Defence Motors they are good for future trouble / checkups.

    You can try the shops in Plaza they have vitz parts available. There is this shop Z.H. Autos at Plaza Tel: 2733766, speak to him and see if he has it. The name is Ameer Bhai.

    Let us know the outcome then.

    @amoizp

    How do u come to know that the battery is discharging quickly?
