    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    As i am not in favor of cutting the wires, plus you have the liberty to place the original cluster anytime you want. So, if you are OK without the display of gears on the cluster + warning beep with reverse gear, then go for it.

    How's the DIY coming along?

    Also I tried fitting the leather wheel I have onto my car. The shaft hole is smaller on the l.wheel compared to the standard wheel and it was'nt sitting onto the shaft. Can I somehow trade it for a proper leather wheel? I'm free this week so if you wanna head over to shoba usman bhai

    No work on the recent DIY , as i am not feeling well.
    Regarding steering wheel swap with the leather one, we will try to find the oem when we visit. Well, it depends if he is willing for the trade with little money on top.If it's not possible, you can easily wrap up the original steering.
    i will text you in a couple of days regarding a visit to shoba.

    Genuine part number for front brake pads has already been posted in this forum which is available at Kamal Autos. Front brake pads for 2011-14 Vitz are only very slightly different from its previous model, but knowing the part no. helps in confirming that one is buying the right thing and not of previous model.
    Thus, I want to confirm the part no. for the rear brake shoes too for Vitz 2011-14. Don't want to put mis-matched brake shoes, no matter how minute the mis-match is.

    Aoa experts.

    My little brother got a vitz for himself and went out to get a griding sound checked coming from the engine.

    Later he ended up being disclosed with burnt transmission oil and he planned to change it without consultation. The previous used oil wasnt cvt and was atf dexron III. The car had no issue whatsoever for a day. Later after the oil change, he told that the filter had also been cleaned by petrol. Thank God no major damage had been caused by then.

    The next day i asked about the oils he used and i got to know that he replaced it with dexron III of caltex.

    I asked him to get rid of it immediately and go for the real cvt oil. And then came the twist after the oil being replaced with zic cvtf oil. The transmission started to leak and drained the oil completely. After that they called the mechanic and installed the Dexron III again and the car was good to go. And now i asked him to park the car and i will take the car to toyota rawal myself to get it fixed.

    I am not sure what damage has been done or how to solve this.

    Experts? Pleasee guide me i need urgent help. Its parked right now and i neec to get it working immediately.

    I did make a fourm aswell but i suppose i need more feed back
    My little brother bought a vitz and went out for a check on some noise from the engine.

    Change oil from Toyota Good 3S Dealership. Must Change the (Jane) Seal of CVT Gearbox. Only Use Toyota CVT oil Tin having 4 Ltrs packing. Hope Leakage and any problem will vanish.
    Never underEstimate anyone. Might be a charade has a v8 in his heart.

    Alhamdulillah the leaking stopped. Silicone was applied instead of the seal. And running is better now. But at lower speeds there are a few issues. I feel the drive is a little rough when im driving around 1-2rpms
    And after that when i stop accelerating the speed drops like the car downshifted the gear and the motion is breaking. What are all these signs?

    the coasting is not very well in this case get the Transmission Oil Pressure checked and post the values. It seems to be the fault of Coasting valves Jamming.

    I am literally out of everything. I do have a few hundreds. Thanks to this experience.

    AOA, i hav a 2009 vitz driven 69000 km mostly by myself. the problem is its speed is not going above 90km. the car makes a lot of noise like engine is working too hard. it also makes sound when it is cold. oil was changed regularly by myself and cvti oil was also changed. what can be the possible reason?

    Your cat is blocked.
    Get new one from any car scrap market like bilal ganj or shoba bazaar.
    Don't break the catalytic converter, you will ruin everything.
