    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    If there are no problems with it, then no need to remove it unnecessarily. I purchased my car about a month back and have not removed mine yet but maybe if it gets choked then I'll remove it.

    @tyrone_40,

    how can we check if its choked or not? i'm feeling a loss of pick up but don't know whether its due to CAT or just a CNG issue. i'm using my Vitz for more than a year now.

    I think a computer scan can tell. If your're using CNG then it should not be an issue because I heard its the lead in petrol here in Pakistan that chokes the CAT converter.

    @mwaqar,

    Just go to any cylencer repair shop and tell him to open the 1st (small) dholkee at the front and just take out the Cat converter (simple chalk type cylenderical structure) and weld the dholkee back. It quite simple and not techinical at all.

    @amozip

    Thanks for the info mate (Y) I wasnt sure whether it is necessary to get the fuel filter removed after a while. I have been driving my vitz for over a year now, so i was getting kind of paranoid. I will try to get it cleaned. Somehow I am getting this feeling that I am not giving due attention to my vitz, I didnt get enough time to get it serviced (which is pretty overdue), couldnt get the air filter changed, cat is still there, and then I was worried about the fuel filter. I will have to take some time out and get all the stuff done, its really getting on my nerves now

    Yar keeping up with different forums on PW sure is an issue.

    @2fast2furious

    Hey how have you been buddy? Thanks for the info on what to tell the silencer wala. Have you had the spacers installed yet? or still measuring different speed breakers?

    @Tyrone:

    Any luck with the spacers? Decided or still evaluating?

    @Tyrone

    LOL we sure do! My schedule has been really tight lately, and its bugging me like anything, there is so much that needs to be done and I just cant do it
    Not to mention that I made a bad choice on spacers...I have had 2" aluminium ones installed, not only that they are too high, they make horrible squeaking noises.

    Plus, I need to get my vitz some decent shoes (tyres), but I will wait until I have enough funds to spare on that.

    ....the list never ends now, does it?

    @Robust

    Dont worry if you luv ur car u will find the time

    The reason I'm still evaluating about the spacers is that some say rubber spacers will wear out as time passes and the balance will go out as some will wear out faster that the others due to servicing etc.

    On the other hand, the aluminium spacers make a lot of noise etc. So I'm just trying to drive carefully till I can find a lasting trouble free solution.

    Springs I have to get the correct specification, load rating which I'm not sure what they are and how to obtain them.

    Believe me I'm in the same hole as you. My tyres are practically worn out but due to lack of funds can't change them. So I'll just reverse them and put the back ones in front as someone advised me as they are in much better shape.

    I need to also get my brakes serviced as in the mornings on slow drive when getting outta the parking it makes a sorta hollow squeaking sound when I press the brakes and release.

    @robust...

    Lol i am still measuring the spead breakers .. springs or spacers still not decided...

    @ALL about the noice increse after cat removal... there is 0% noise increse as the dholkee is not removed and there is a second dholkee behind the one which has cat convertor so the noise is reduced by it. My personal experience is no noise increase after the removal. Best of all the job took 30 mins and 150rs and the performance increase is increadable...

    I don't think there are any factory installed units in vitzs' with mp3 capabilities, you might need to get a custom one of your own from a audio shop.

    hmmm, after reading all of this i am planning to change my AL spacers with rubber spacers.. dont beat me tyreone thats what others told me but the reason i am doing this is because most of the time i drive my car alone and there is no CNG so not a lot of load on my car.. if rubber spacers can work for even 1-2 years thats enough at least i can enjoy smooth driving. and planning to visit prime defence motors just to check out my car sensors and other complex things..

    Well never heard of tyreone what kind of name is this or ur nick name ?? no hard feelings just curious.
