    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

Immobiliser only comes with vitz that has push start. And push start is rare to find because it's an optional accessory

Yes bro. If vitz is without pushstart then it doesn't have immobiliser. Yes it's a chip to prevent theft.

It's a good car but is expensive around 15 lakhs
Performance is fine for a 1000cc car but don't expect miracles.
Mileage is great around 14km/l with AC
Demand and resale is very good.
If resale is not your concern then Fit is hands down a better car due to bigger engine and hybrid system. Vitz will fill sluggish in front of fit.

The Toyota 5w-40 sucks. Just on next oil change go for liqui molly 5w30...your mileage will be back with smoothness and performance

Bro I have this model bought in jan 2016 really satisfied but be careful with oil changes as @Nabeel_Ali said go for liqui moly 5w 30 for best fuel economy and smooth drive. Overall differences in this model and the old one (not facelift 2012) is that the new one has a fuel gauge analogue meter front is face lifted with smoked lights back lights and bumper are bit changed, reverse light is in middle instead of bottom like 2012 shape. Dashboard is black not semi beige like the 2012 shape and engine I don't know is changed or not but appearance is a bit different and I've heard that it's the updated edition of 1kr fe which has better fuel economy (not sure). Also the new model has a traction control switch and an active stability switch. Multi steering switches are really really common only few facelift vitz don't have them ( according to my knowledge)

And the fuel consumption part, my car with the original oil from Japan was giving 16.5 (with minor ac and light foot) to be very honest but as I changed the oil and used 5w 50 toyota taglon oil it dropped down to 13 14, i believe using liqui moly 5w 30 would give better results.

And my car has a simple key same as the Corolla Grande has excluding the trunk and siren switches. It doesn't has an immobiliser.

Good luck and overall I would say any vitz is the best 1.0 jdm regardless the model it's the best as i believe. :')

    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

My Vitz 2013 air circulation switch just broke

I went to switch the inside/outside recirculation switch and there was
an unusual tension to it. Without thinking twice, I gave it a little more pressure and it just let go. The switch is just a loose piece now and I heard the directional parts within the dash make an odd noise during the time a lightly forced the rotation. Damn. So now I cannot choose between inside recirculation or outside air. I believe it is stuck on outside air.

    Any help???????

This problem was in second gen vitz as well. I fixed my second gen vitz on my own. Just go to YouTube and search how to open dashboard of new shape vitz...open it and then there is a pulley which goes out of the vent knob. Stick it back in. It's really easy.
My 3rd gen vitz also gets hard so I frequent rotate the knob so that it doesn't get hard.

Thank you bro just fixed this. That air dump which convert air from into to out air out to in air was jammed due to ac filter. Last week i did visit Toyota 3S dealer, they removed the filter cleaned it with air pressure and while installing back that guy put the ac filter in wrong compartment :@ that cause this trouble this is the level of toyota 3S dealer service

    AoA PWers!
I have a 2011 Vitz F-Package KSP-130. From the past few days I am experiencing a problem with the fuel gauge of my car. Whenever I fill up the tank, the fuel gauge does not show the tank to be full. It shows one less bar.
I thought that I might have been conned by the petrol station since i always ask them to fill the tank till the nozzle switches off automatically. But the last time I got the tank topped up to the neck of the lid in order to avoid any misconceptions. And it still the fuel gauge showed one less bar.
Any one here who might have experienced a similar scenario?
Also, the range it shows has also decreased significantly, although car keeps on going for another 100KM even when the driving range becomes 0KM.
Any suggestions on how to correct this issue will be much appreciated. I have read on some forums that such scenarios require fuel gauge recalibration for correction. However, I am unaware on how that can be done.

Empty your tank fully and top it up again till the neck.
