    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

Not a good idea. The vehicle ride will be not comfortable as it is now.

Replace 165/70 r14 stock steel wheels with bigger rims to minimise vehicle striking large Speed breakers with 3 passengers seated at the rear.
    Don't leave a highway for a byway....

    Hello PakWheelers!

I have vitz 2005, 1KR, the problem I have been facing since last 3 or 4 weeks is that the car seems to be very underpowered after the oil change and throttle body service...pickup is now so pathetic on ac and it struggles to accelerate and is noisy.
Average within city with partial ac is 12 and on highway is 16, 17! On highway it couldn't cross 135 km mark with four persons.
With ac on, in hot weather even fully pressing pedal it does not cross 10kmph and then slowly accelerates!
Ac compressor is of GLI not stock...!
    Engine oil shell hx-5, 10-40!
It all happened after oil change and throttle body service, at oil change I also poured coolant which was not of reputed company, before that only water was used!
    Did ecu reset today...no change!
Before oil change the car was not in too good condition it was just ok!
    Please suggest what to do!
    Thanxxxxx

Firstly, change oil back to 5w-30 or 5w-40. 10w is thick and heavy for this engine. Second, have you changed your catalytic converter or broke it? The pick usually drops when catalytic is chocked. And I guess this compressor might be a bit heavy for vitz rest other member can contribute on this matter.

Thanks a lot for ur reply!
Cat is not present, it was probably wasted by the previous owner.
And yes I also wanted to use thinner oil like 5-30 or 5-40 but the changer guy recommended it by saying ur vehicle has clocked more than 100k....so use thicker one :|

This is highly wrong perception. The thinner oil helps engine lubricate and perform better.
    For oil...try kixx fully synthetic 5w-30 or 5w-40 ... it's a very good oil.

Unfortunately Nabeel I beg to differ with you. If he pours 5-30 the engine will start reducing oil.

185/60/15 is best, 185/65/15 is also being used.

Yes and try to use hi octane as much as possible and if you can't find it then use STP octane booster.

I my opinion 15" with 185/60 or 185/65 are better choices than using 14" with 185/70.

Guys as far as tyre size is concerned using 185/65 is the best option with 15 inch Rims. This is what I am using and my car has never touched any bumper whether it be too high or no matter how many people are in car.

Secondly as far as which fuel to use, I have tried all 3 brands Total, PSO and Shell. The best results given to me were by Shell (Defence, Modeltown, G1).

Zero knocking and great mileage and the worst fuel was of PSO (Be it any station Cavalry, Defence).

P.S. Fuel type is Super. No high octane. Secondly Shell is the only fuel company which claims it to be unleaded, I dont know about whether PSO and TOTAL fuel is unleaded or not.
