    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    Hey dear.. i have asked this question from many others but not find any accurate answer yet. Can u plz spare time to help...
    I have question please make it clear to me.
    I am a bachelor student.
    I was going to buy a 2nd gen vitz for myself
    When i asked mechanics and some of dealers which were friends of mine etc etc they all told me not to buy 2nd generation vitz. They said that nobody understands its repairing, its resale is a big problem, they are not gud in many ways from 1st gen. They all try to convince me for buying 1st gen vitz.. can u please tell me either these are truths or not?

    Completely depends on your requirement and budget. When I was looking for a car, the 2nd gen's which came in my budget were not in good condition else I would've gotten that.

    But, I must say, this car is very cheap to maintain. The parts are very cheap and easily availiable. Some parts are similar to corollas too. I've had a good experience so far. Hasn't let me down. I've removed both of the catalytic converters to counter then problem of low fuel average and acceleration. Others will disagree with me here but this solved my issue.

    However, finding a 1st gen in good condition will be a difficult ask. These cars are very rare now in good condition. All depends on your budget. What is your budget?

    That was When the second generation vitz was new in the market. Repair is not the issue anymore aswell. As far as the resale is concerned, everyone in the forum will agree with me in that all 1st,second and third gen Vitz have an incredibly high resale, too much for its own good if you ask me. You will find freshly shipped unregistered jap alto, nissan otti, mazda carol etc in your range, but for vitz, you will get a 2007 model - 2012 registered at best.

    In your price range, in my opinion you might not find a second gen vitz in good condition, you will have to be very patient in your search, and thoroughly have the car checked by mechanic etc. Or you will be going insane like me on a check engine light issue that randomly appears. (Even though i got it certified by carsure(90%+ rating). My advice, be vary patient and open minded in your search and may Allah help you.

    I was a bit confused regarding cvt oil change for my vitz 2009. After consulting some people I have decided to get it changed from Toyota society motors because I was not able to find any suitable person to do it. They are charging Rs. 2900 for just labor. Can anyone suggest me any other good option as it is just absurd to pay this much for any oil change only.

    Yes this is insane. Did they say something about the procedure? Were they quoting for removing the cvt oil pan or just draining and refilling?

    @Yasirshafeeq

    I live in Karachi.
    @rkbladex

    I haven't done it yet. Looking for any suitable proposition as Toyota Society Motors is charging way too much.
    @tahir.hashmi

    I don't know anything about the procedure. Just know the charges.

    I am still looking for any suitable option, someone be kind enough to share their experience and where to get the CVT oil changed from in Karachi.

    There is a detailed thread on pakwheels about this procedure. It will be good if you go through that. Basically there is a method of changing cvt oil that doesn't involve removal of oil pan. It is quick and easy process, doesn't take much more effort than engine oil change if the person knows the process.

    The other option is to take down the whole oil pan. This usually means that you will have install a new seal. It gives you the opportunity to get the pan thoroughly cleaned. There are two magnets in the pan that collect metal dust that gets mixed with oil during cvt operation. When the pan is opened these magnets can be cleaned. The second option is also not very lengthy or difficult. It should cost you around Rs 1000 including the cost of new seal.

    Thank you for taking your time out and replying to my query. I have probably read all such stuff on pak wheels. However, I need a recommendation as where to get it done from? I don't trust my local mechanic who was by the way very good for my mehran to do this procedure on my vitz. I am confused so need recommendations.
