    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

method ? if you want to use the pump drain procedure you will be needing approx 7 ~ 9 liters.

the transmission fluid line to radiator will be disconnected to a clear fluid container and car be allowed to idle while new transmission fluid is poured-in, after approx 7 liters keep watchful eye as fresh fluid starts to appear in container stop the engine reconnect the cooling line.check fluid level after 15 minutes and topup if necessary

The conventional way is using drain bolt to drain , opening sump later to de-gunk the filter in de-greaser and reseat & top up with 3.75 liters will suffice

He was asking about whether or not to remove sump. In my case sump was removed, thoroughly cleaned and installed back with a new seal.

@tahir.hashmi thank you. However, did that mechanic changed the gasket for the chamber and also replaced the O ring which has been told in another thread on the pak wheels or not?

Baqai is Right. Its a minor issue. Get ur Belt tightened by a good mechanic. He might grease it as well. The sound will go off InshAllah.

I think seal and gasket are the same thing. Seal was changed. I don't think any o-rings were changed.

Edit: Oh **** i just read you have already spend 70k on the car, wish you had posted this before spending, i think your mechanic might be taking you for a ride (making a kaddu out of you, if you know what i am saying)

If there are cracks on the belt i would advise you to get it changed as it is the main element driving everything in your car, the price difference between original and local is HUGE, original one is for 4500 while the local/china/desi is for 400 ... yes you read that right 4k vs 400 lol

Normally after rains this chir chir noise is common with greesing it should go away but get it checked, don't get the whole car apart for that sound because source of that sound is the belt nothing else

Drive belts are friction driven item greasing them is very bad idea

sorry guys for being off topic

I have a few queries regarding Vitz 1st generation..
whats the average fuel consumption of the model 1999-01? in cng and petrol?

2nd question is regarding amnesty scheme
Is it safe to buy a Islamabad registered car that has been registered under amnesty scheme in 2013-14?

your opinion will be of great help?

    regards
