    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    No offence but it would REALLY REALLLLYYY help if you don't use kids english here. Seriously, I am not trying to offend you but it makes hard to read and understand it and can get really frustrating. Specially writing da and sum and ov. I know you are only 18 but c'mon, you can write the proper english without any trouble now can ya?

    Hehehe, yeah Tyrone, exactly what we were talking about.

    Yes, I stick to D when parking my car in my garage and/or while going through bridges. So far, I have not yet came across one situation where I felt the need of putting the car in 2 or L. It's a powerful car, one not to be taken lightly. Unless you are on mountains or running Vitz on CNG, I don't think we'll be needing the L gear in our liftime here in Karachi

    @tyrone_40
    Thanks a lot for the contact number. Yes it works and i contacted him.

    I need to know something. Do u have CNG ? if Yes then from where u installed ? Further, how much this should cost to me. As i asked many CNG shops and price ranges from Rs.28000 to Rs.50000 so i m a bit confused.

    Please help
    Thanks

    @Chinyoti
    Had this been a regular feature of Vitz, it must have been discussed here once it is not it means you need to get your Vitz checked by some mechanic...
    The problem is that many of us get it tuned by people who dont even know how EFI and VVT-i in particular works, so they tune it for fuel efficiency which not only creates this knocking problem but no fuel efficiency is achieved either

    @all
    Sorry for dealyed reponse. Thanks for your suggestions regarding coolant. I'll inshallah change coolant of my ride next year in March or April (u know before summar season starts).

    Yesterday I went to Khewra Sault Mines through motorway. My vitz is on CNG but I used petrol on motoray. I've done 340 kms on petrol and exactly half tank of petrol is consumed, means about 1000 Rupees petrol, so u ppl can calculate average. (to me millage on highway is more than perfect).

    One thing I noticed while running my ride on motorway that it is unable to maintain speed in 5th gear, for example i am going on 125/kmh and there is a slight uphill car will start reducing speed down to 90/kmh to regain speed instantly i have to turn O/D button ON and then again off when i regain reasonable speed. max speed i touched was 135/kmh. I love my ride, but I'm conerned why it is unable to maintain max speed in 5th gear. Is it normal with auto trans or something else? Please advise... thanks in advance.

    In addition to my previous post, please note I have recently changed following in my ide:
    1. Bosch 4-tip sparc plugs.
    2. Zic synthetic engine oil with oil filter
    3. Air filter.
    4. Original Toyota ATF was changed about 3 months' ago.

    For those discussing transmission positions, yesterday when climbing up Kalar Kahar sault range (it is a very sharp slope area and ther is speed limit of 50 /kmh). I put my ride to '2' position and it very easily maintained speed between 50-60 / kmh. I also use '2' gear position whenever I go to "Peer Sohava" (Hill station near Islamabad).

    wow, its really great that you got this much of average. Can u please tell me how to make the average better ? I daily travel 20KM to my office and 20KM back to home and if i fill Rs.200 petrol, then once i come back last 2 signals are ON on FUEL SIGNAL and when i go back to office next morning, after i think 10 kilometers it comes to last light and start blinking. How much the last Light can travel ?

    @zeeshanhashmi
    Dear I believe there is a BIG difference when you are travelling within city and when you travell on highway/motorway. I have calculated yesterday on motorway that one petrol light (indicator) gives you 80-85 kms (again it is dependent on your driving habit and speed etc). As I have done 340 kms and exactly 4 lights were consumed. I'm sure it could be even better than that if i was travelling on normal speed of like 100-110/ kmh.

    Salams and hello to everyone (after quite some time!)

    Thought this might help people in deciding about tyre sizes. The pic is from a yaris user manual.

    have a question for the experts too. fastnfurious identified this problem in the last gtg (at isb, rawal lake). This cylinderical part (with two pipes/lines connected on it) was dangling in the engine... and he helped in putting it back on its place.

    Toyota Vitz OwnersFan Club -794471

    I don't know what it is... so first question is what is it?

    Toyota Vitz OwnersFan Club -794472

    One of the pipe seems to be connecting to the fuel line. The other was not connected to anything. So we tried to see where it could fit.

    Toyota Vitz OwnersFan Club -794473

    Seems it would fit on the air intake's side! But pipe was too short for it.

    So was it always disconnected? Or did something bad happen?

    The car is running fine despite this! Any help will be appreciated!

    Btw, I'm planning on putting all vitz related stuff in one place so that it's easier for all new buyers to find info easily. If all goes well, it shud be ready in feb.

    @all

    vitz average on long routes is really awesome buddies, yesterday i travelled for abt 110KM. I filled up my tank with Rs500, firstly it was blinking at last point, after fill-up 3 lights on fuel gauage.

    I travelled around 110KM n then it came back from 3 to 2 lights on fuel gauage :-)

    my top speed was 120KM/h, i didnt force it to go on that mark however it was asking to go more fast :-)

    Now look how cool avg it is.
