    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    If i'm not wrong more than 95% ppl r using landirenzo. about SIS once Mr. Bilal of LOGAS SHELF wrote that SIS is a very good kit but it is very expensive. This is all what I know about SIS. I'm having landirenzo with leotech advancer and amulator. My ride has been doing perfect, but I had to disconnect O2 sensor coz it was giving me trouble while starting. Since I have disocnnected O2 sensor there is absolutely no issue. There are some brands of advancer/amulator available in market with which u wont need to disconnect O2 sensor and they will work perfectly.

    @all
    Today I have completed repairing of rear bumper and fender from Auto Club Islamabad. MASHALLAH, they have done their job with perfection (i.e. denting, paint matching etc). People at Auto Club are professional, I MUST SAY.

    Salam,
    A guy is selling his black vitz 2002 digital meter powered CNG HID in 560 k. My mechanic says it shifts gear a little late in high speeds. Is it normal in all Vitzs? also what is that light below the seat belts?

    Pls Reply

    about cost i'm not so sure but near me it shifts the gear at the speed which it thinks is perfect. My vitz shifts to fifth gear between 105-110 depending on gas you give and the road!

    Actually we are used to manual cars, we shift the gears so early, thats why we think that automatic cars take time to shift gear.

    The rest PW masters can guide you the best.

    i just faced a new problem coming to the office this morning.
    all of a sudden after driving for a around 7-8 km and 20 minutes, the car sound became heavier. it now sounds like a phati huee dholki ka sound. drive is the same though but vibration has increased a lot and earlier it was vibrating only in driving now its the exactly opposite; it doesnt vibrate while driving but vibrates in neutral. and the sound also reduces if accelerator is pushed.
    is that because of the time to remove catalytic converter? or is it something bigger? and suggestion? mechanics if needed?
    im clueless in karachi!

    Why dont you get your car diagnosed using OBDII software. Many auto shops do it here now. You can phone and check out with the guy whom I go to and see if you like his work.

    @yasirrafiq786

    Yasir, it's a Tomasetto Achilles kit with advancer and emulator. max i got was 190km on a cylinder less that's less than 50kg.

    @rawdeal

    vitz a/t has 4 speeds (gears). on just little throttle the car should shift to top (o/d) gear around 55-60km/h. also note that the transmission ratios of auto and manual are different, so 3rd speed of a/t is not the same as 3rd gear in a manual tranny.

    u shud test drive the car before buying and show to a denter and mechanic too if u're serious. there also a couple of other things u shud see (available somewhere on the previous pages).

    @wzahoor

    Where is auto club located? Need to fix 2 minor dents.

    Dear gear shifting in auto trans have few variable factors. It depends on how much u r accelerating, r u running uphill or downhill etc. In normal circumstances, if u press accelerator pedal normally it should shift gears at 25 km/h 2nd gear, at 45 km/h 3rd gear, at 65 km/h 4th gear and at 85 km/h 5th gear. [5th gear will com into play only if o/d is off. With 0/d on it remains in 4 gears and give extra power]. Nonetheless, u may also control gear shifting with accelerator pedal, as if needed, by pressing pedal hard i can run my car upto 40-45 km/h in 1st gear and in 2nd gear upto 65-70 km/h.

    @amoizp
    Auto Club is in I-10/3. You may please confirm their address from their telephone numbers: 051-4436293-5

    @2fastnfurious
    Auto Club has digital engine analyzer facility available. Alhamdulillah, my ride is having neither any engine nor mechanical issue to be checked. I dont know exactly how much they charge for it, but Toyota Capital motor in abpara charge Rs. 4000/- for computerized checkup.

    Regarding denting painting: my ride is insured, as its on company loan therefore its mandatory to have insurance. I pay Rs. 1000/- per month on the account of insurance. I had not to pay even a penny for all repair work. Auto club is going to charge insurance company Rs. 15500/- for complete job. Thanks God I had insurance and I remained safe from this extra burden.........

    its funny. i went to prime defence motors the same day. dint need the ODBII checkup. the funny bit is that it was because of a bone stuck between gear shaft and body. a ******* cat had tried eating bones while sitting in the heat under the car... i still have the bones with me and i have taken some very nice pics cost me 200 to get them removed and all is fine now.

    PS: everybody, beware of the cats at home, especially in winters.

    Vitz a/t only has 4 gears (maximum). The 4th is called Over Drive. If O/D is off ("O/D OFF" displayed) then car only shifts to 3rd gear max. This gives more power on high speeds - but ofcourse less fuel economy. Turn O/D on, ("O/D OFF" not being displayed) and the car will be able to shift to 4th one too.

    Under normal driving conditions, O/D should be on. There's a reason why the car has a reminder "light" to show that O/D is off.

    @sqahar

    wow... this is a first one! that's really a big relief that it wasn't something else!!!

    Glad your problem is solved. But believe me it wouldn't help to do a scan / cleaning of the throttle body once in a while. You'll be amazed at the amount of carbon in the throttle body within no time due to the quality of our fuel :@
