Question Vitz 2005 Gear Swap (Or Market Contact)

    A.A. Everyone,

I got a little careless with my car's maintenance and the gear of my 2005 vitz has started giving trouble. Tried transmission oil change and consulted mechanic but nothing worked. Sometimes it jumps second gear and back gear produces noise. Engine model is 1SZ-FE 1.0 L.

So then, I was wondering if any Vitz owner on here wants to replace their engine to go for a bigger one, and whether you can sell me the Gear of your car. Alternatively, please share contact of anyone in Peshawar or Quetta who might have GearBox for Vitz 2005.

I'm also open for converting it to 2SZ-FE 1.3L if I get a good deal.

    Please advise!

    Thanks,
    -me

Thanks for the advise Farhan. No, haven't been to Model Town A block market, but i'm leaning towards going there to see if the current gear can be fixed.

    Wish me luck guys
Quetta wala option is good one as well. Due to strict van on NCP vehicles many have been stripped off and parts have been put on sale. If ur friend is good in identifying the right one than go for it.

@Hard2Hit I know its been a while since this thread was active but since im having issues with my gear box in 2006 CVT transmission as well, I was wondering which option did you go for in the end i.e repair or kabuli & if you could share your experience along with contacts would be much appreciated!!

I went for a Kabuli CVT gear as repair was not recommended. Also I know someone who is going to upgrade his Vitz to 1300 and he is replacing his 1000cc engine and grear with new one. He is planning to sell his perfectly functional CVT gear which can be tried in his car. If you are interested in trying it out, I can hook you up with him. The down side of buying a kabuli gear is that you can not try it for long, so a tested gear would give you higher confidence level.
