Probably some sensor is causing that... It may be the MAP sensor but you can only be sure after you have diagnosed the car with an OBD 2 scanner...

Enercon has one and so does Toyota...

    hi..
i went there , it was (P1589 acceleration sensor learning value) problem..
they could'nt resolve it. they said if there is a problem in wiring then we cannot check that one.
they will charge more for new sensor.

These cars are too much sensor dependent... Your best bet is taking it to Toyota and replace the sensor... (Which I presume is the throttle position sensor inside the cabin of the car, or the one on the throttle body but I can be wrong since I am no expert here)...

The error code is generic... Remedies are expensive if not thorough...

    Cheers...

I got the error cleared from many scanner including toyota showroom but it reapeared again and again then i got a person in pesh. Actually there is no problm in the car coz he told me it just require the original vitz software and the mileage also improved. Feeling relaxed. P1589 acc sensor learning value error

check engine light /warning light comes as a warning of some problem in engine bay. which means that warning light is NOT a problem in itself. Instead its a symptom of another problem. So do not suppress the WARNING before you have resolved the relevant problem.
Battery ki taar alag kr dena ya sirf OBD scanner se erase krwa dena may not help. Because an unresolved problem would trigger the WARNING LIGHT again.
Let me give you one analogy to explain my point. Suppose there is a FIRE in a building....and fire-warning alarm starts sirens. What would you do ??? kill the alarm... or... kill the fire ??
