    Default Check engine light afyer MAF sensor cleaning

    I have a vitz 2002 70k on odo meter petrol driven I decided to clean its MAF sensor tried to reset ecu too by removing positive terminal now the problem is car has no pick and check engine light is on where to get it fixed my city is karachi

    New maf censor

    You'll need to get a new/kabuli maf sensor. The Carb cleaner you used to clean the sensor has killed the sensor. The sensor is very delicate and needs to be cleaned very carefully. I clean it with a tissue every 20k km and it hasnt given me any issues.

    Its not very expensive. I got one for 700 from a guy who is a rip off so it should be cheaper elsewhere.

    Yes, a brand new one is for around 3k. I'm talking about a used one. Do take your car along to test the maf sensor when buying it to ensure that you're buying a properly working one. Also, rev the car close to the redline to see if its giving black smoke. If it does, the maf sensor could be faulty because a faulty one would also make the car run rich, but otherwise fine.

    Do they come with diff models or its kinda of a universal thingy ? The reason I tried to clean it was poor fuel average

    They would be the same for all cars. The part number is 22204-22010.
