    Default Vitz 2003 issues

    Aoa PWer's,
I bought a Vitz 2003 8 months back. I bought it of PW. First of all, the person I bought it from turned out to be a dealer, which I Uncovered afterwards. The car was sold to me as total original except one fender and bumpers. When I brought the mechanic to show him the car, he told me that the car had touchups all around but was not accidental. He said that the car needed new tires and maintainence. I bought the car and brought it here to Lahore and detailed it with all my love. I spent hours on the car. The next day, I very proudly took out the car and asked my dad to take it out instead of our Liana. We left the house with all my family in the car. The A/C stopped working. The gas leaked. I got all that work done for 6000/-
Next, the engine oil leaked. The car visited the mechanic 4 times for this. It turned out to be a broken seal. Costed a total of 3500/-. Also had the maintainence done. Costed 6300/-. Next changed the tires. Costed 20000/- Then the suspension came along. Costed me around 14k after some discount. (the bill was 19k but I sold the old parts and all). Now I have some new issues:
    1) The cars front makes a 'tung' noise when braking or crossing speed brakers or turning.
    2) The car's average has dropped from 13-14 to 10.
    3) The floor vibrates when the car is accelerating.
    4) The pick has also reduced.

I need help with these issues. Your valuable feedback is required. I wanted to remove the CAT filter but I'm not aware of the complications and I have a gut feeling that this isn't the issue. Is it useful removing the CAT?

***The car also has a noisy interior. it makes alot of noise when crossing bumps. Anyway to fix this?

NOTE: This thread is not to accuse Pakwheels or anything. I love Pakwheels. This was entirely a misunderstanding. This is just to let people know that cars online aren't always trouble free. People have developed this concept that Cars on Pakwheels are trouble free and sellers are honest. This is not the case. I also won't mention any details of the seller I got my car from as it would cause issues for him. All I can say is looks are ALWAYS decieving.

    AWAITING YOUR REPLY.

Low pick can be due to choked CAT we had same issue and was solved after removing cat although we tried everything like injector fuel pump
Further more tung sound can be due to movement of coil spring if rubber seal between spring and shocker is removed

    I'm using 175/70/R13
What model did you have? And did the noise change after removing CAT?
For the noise, I just got off the phone with the mechanic. He says it's not a big issue. It's the 'Chimtay ke bush'.
    Thank you for your response.

hamaisha gari apni puri tasalee kar kay lo, even if buying from family relative.

suspension needs to be visually checked.cant say here what might be wrong
coming back to ur problem it seems like a choked cat converter........get it cleaned with diluted mild acid mixed water
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

dont get the cat converter removed your car will sound like a riksha get it cleaned
look it up on the web and watch some videos
the vibration could be because of bad engine and transmission mounts get them checked
it would be better to replace the fuel filter and get injectors cleaned ultrasonically

I've spent around 40k on this car and it is now trouble free except a few minor issues. Should I keep it now for another year or sell it?

Brother first when ever u buy a car do tested rive n check it properly ..... maybe seller has done something maybe he has not no 1 knows ......but making sure everything is perfect before you buy it is way to go

Exactly what my father says. 2 people test drove the car and passed it. We checked everything twice. Sadly, when I found out about the touchups, I had paid the token money. I'm not going for a used car after this ever again! I bought a Santro 2007 to find out that it was major accidental from the right side. Sold that at a loss of 170k and told every single thing to the buyer. Now bought this and even this is giving me a loss of over 100k in just 8 months. Everybody lies now. Insha Allah I'll only sell this once we have enough funds for a Brand new car.
    For now,
I'm working on making it better.
    Thank you for your response.
Insha Allah you'll see a ride in the making during june/july

Ive got the same model in FL package. Yours is fl package too i believe. I recommend you to
    i) flush all the lubricants and get new. (If you havent)
ii) get your cat convertor cleaned. DO NOT get it removed. Its present for a purpose.
iii) go to some good mechanic and get the boots and bearings of axles checked. Change them if they have finished their life. They are often the culprits for all the unwanted noise.
iii) check the plugs too. Get iridium plugs if the ones fitted are over.
iv) get some good feul treatment.

    Youll definetly feel change.

    Thankyou.
I had all the necessary lubricants changed. Just have to get the gear oil changed now.
Would a normal silencer wala know how to clean a cat filter?
    Plugs have been changed.
    Fuel treatment would be?
I swear my car looked exactly like yours when I went to see it :p
And I'm also very satisfied with this car (Other then these minor issues). I prefer driving this to my Liana. I feel this is faster and much more comfortable :p
