Default 5w 40 in summer for vitz 1.3 2007 , yes or no

Hi , I am planning oil change for my 2007 Vitz 1.3 2szfe engine

please help me in getting a good oil and brand

your thoughts on these statements by xulifikar and ser-gtr
i can't deny there knowledge but want other pakwheelers to commit

I can assure you one thing - you will COOK your engine if you drive with that in ambient temperature of above 40*C with A/C running sitting in traffic.

Agreed... Anything Above 38 With High Humid Climate Can Make Oil Go Out Of Recommendation...!!

Atleast Get 40 Viscosity.......!! Those 30's Are Not For Climate Conditions Of Pakistan Mostly Where Temp Are Around Mid 30's For Like 8-9 Months....!!

Vitz recommended oil is 5w 30 , what will be the best oil in Pakistan conditions and where to get the genuine oil in Rawalpindi/Islamabad ,i want to go for caltex or LM

    its urgent ,plz
    thank you in advance

i am also using Havoline formula 10w 30 for years, starting from Honda City 2004, Corolla Altis 2005, Civic 2007, City 2010, Gli 2012, Civic 2013 without any problem.. Change at 4-5 K
but now the shopkeeper is constantly insisting me to go for fully synthetic... still double minded whether to switch to synthetic or not??

Well previously i was using caltex formula but now myself using synthetic...
My suggestion is not to listen to shopkeepers.. if u r not satisfied from your current oil then you should shift to synthetic.. but it would be heavy on ue pocket

i think caltex synthetic is not manufactured locally whereas havoline formula is local, right?

Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

I am using 10/40 Liqui Moli in my 1.3 vitz since two years , change every 5000kms, highly recommended and reasonably priced. 5/40 LM full synthetic I use in my altis 1.6 , change every 7500 kms.

Go with 5W40, but full synthetic oil.
    Perhaps Total Quartz 9000 5W40

i would suggest mobil 1 0W-40, it would meet the low viscosity requirements of vitz and yet be just as good as 5w40 in summers, mobil 1 oils are among the best in the world and 0W-40 would give you better fuel consumption and performance than 5w-40, otherwise liqui moly 5W-40 is also really good
If everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane!

It's OK as u like. But it's not recommended for vehicles on CNG or LPG.
