Default Vitz 2008 white smoke problem, pick issue and fuel inefficiency

    Hello,

I purchased my Vitz 2008 model only one year back. Car was running satisfactorily till the last Saturday. I was getting fuel average of 10-11 KMS per Litre. One of colleague suggested me that such an average is very low it should give around 14. So last Saturday i visited my mechanic which off course doesn't know very much about Vitz said you should probably change the plugs and have throttle body services. So i went for and bought NSK plugs and had throttle body serviced from the same guy.

After the said procedure my car's engine started moving to and fro and suddenly started getting off by it self. Sound of engine increased big times. Then my mechanic took off the wires of battery say it the system to be refreshed. After that sound of the engine got better but switching off problem remained same. When my mechanic gave race during the interval i noticed white smoke coming out of exhaust pipe. At that time i ignored it. After two days when pushed the race slightly harder and there were fumes of smoke. I immediately took the car to another mechanic which after having a look at smoke told me "Aap ka Engine Baith Gaya Hai". It was like a shock for me. Now here are my car symptoms,
    1. It gives white smoke when i press race little harder
    2. Pick is low
    3. Very slight or nominal decrease in engine oil
    4. Engine stops suddenly at starting when AC is on or on neutral
    5. Low fuel average (10 - 11KMSPL)

I am extremely concerned what to do and where to go. Someone please help me out.

From what I heard, your not suppose to disconnect the terminals in these cars. Take your car too toyota and get it's complete maintenance done i.e. Throttle body service, tappet adjustment, computerized check up and check your car's A/C cabin filter.

You will have to perform compression test immediately for proper diagnosis,it could be because of partially head gasket failure, leaky valve seal, worn piston rings or valve guides.

^^ says it all. White smoke means coolant is getting to combustion chamber. Blue smoke means engine oil is getting into combustion chamber . The car going dead is problem of not working idle control valve, when ac is turned on. To and fro idle is problem of vacuum leak. Change the mechanic.

Dear All thanks for your input,

    My Car engine saved

I took my car to Toyota Walton Motors, here is what they found,

    1. Pick issue was due to some coil wires tear off it usually happens with Vitz
    2. They checked the engine compression is was good
    3. Smoke was due to Catalytic Converter non presence (Some one took it from there before i purchased the car)
    4. I was using thin engine oil (Zic A+) they suggested me slight thick like Toyota Engine Oil or Zic High Flow
    5. Use Hi Octane as it is manufacturer recommended
    6. Don't take your to any mechanic always go to certified

    Thanks all
