I'm having a weird problem with my Vitz (1000cc) for the past few weeks. Sometimes, when I start the car on A/C after a brief stop (of say 5 minutes) and push the accelerator, there is simply no revving and the car refuses to move at a greater speed than the naturally set speed for 'D'. When I say revv, even the engine sound of high RPM is not there. It's simply like I'm pressing a dummy paddle.
I got my Transmission fluid changed and the whole gearbox cleaned. I changed the pipes carrying the brake fluid since they seemed pretty clogged but this problem simply refuses to disappear. I don't have much idea about these things work but my hunch is it's most likely some issue with the Gearbox or perhaps the A/C...
I was about to get my Fuel Injectors cleaned but this type of non-responsiveness can't simply be explained away by clogged injectors. More importantly, once I'm doing 40-50 km/h, the car accelerates to higher speeds quite nicely with or without the A/C on.
Any ideas, with some logic/evidence are highly appreciated.
OK, so since the car was working fine so I thought I'd hold on to the idea of zero-point calibration but a new (perhaps unrelated) problem popped up. The car turns off with the AC on when it stops to zero (after being driven) and there is a very weird knocking sound (metal clanging) from under the bonnet too. It started with the first time car swtiched off on a speed braker. Also I should mention the car doesn't start in a single easy ignition but the car keeps trying (as if I were forcing the key to remain turned) and then starts up in like 10 seconds. With AC turned off, the metal clanging sound is there but car runs smooth and also starts up in a single ignition.
I think the biggest problem with my car is AC. Does anyone know a good mechanic for Vitz in Karachi who knows what he's doing? I'm not that big a techie plus I don't have a lot of time for diagnosis...
Same problem we face in our Vitz-05 reg-08. Car pick get dead with AC on or OFF both.
But soon it get alive again.. Some time we press too much paddle to get pick and car check ENGINE orange lights get ON.
We switch it OFF and again start it. Every thing got normal. I visited the IQBAL Autos Choburgi (EFI Specialist) They told me that its due to week engine coil. Change the Coil and car will be fine.. I have not change the Coils yet as its not giving much problem yet.. but soon I will as problem get to be worst by time..
