get the throttle body serviced and have the air filter changed if u still havent got it changed! and even have the fuel filter checked!

Use a Mixture of Petrol and High Octane like for eg If you r filling the tank to full then add 1000rs worth high octane first and then fill the rest. Is the car vibrating on D or N if yes than get the throttle body serviced and only use toyota Genuine Air filter and not the cheap one. Dont remove the Cat Convertor now as it is a new car. And hopefully your average will increase. Our fuel does not suite 1kr-fe engine and it gives knocking and missing problems. Saying from my own experience as i have kept 3 of them

switch back to 185/70/R14 replace O2 sensor, replace filters oil, fuel filter (in fuel tank ), air filter, this car very perform over 10 km/L in city and 12+ over highways.

Scan your car, if you get an error code indicating high temperature at O2 sensor then your Catalytic Converter is clogged...

If that is the case, nowadays some people clean it with acid and it works (although its reliability and durability is yet to be tested)...

Otherwise, change air filter and use high octane to reduce knocking, because it may also cause poor acceleration and economy...

    Cheers...
Driving is not about going from point A to point B, it is the point...

use 40% super n remaining high octane or both in 50 50 ratio. while talking about average first of all u need to change ur driving style. try to speed up in top gear (higher gear) & try to stable ur rpms at about 3000 to 3500 while driving n speed high. if u have done this the only thing left is to take ur vehicle to any toyota dealership for a tune up. that might help..!!

get your vehicle scanned and diagnosed properly it is the symptom of bad Catalytic converter get all 3 of them cleaned through acid clean process and yes it is tested and it work's 100 % if the solution is properly mixed in right proportion with water. and the next thing is seems to be laggy oxygen sensor.

    never remove catalytic converter .

Minor knocking is acceptable , as it is designed for high humid.

you need to clean you cat converter and calibrate throttle.
