    Default Toyota Vitz grinding noise.

Hi guys, I hope someone will be able to help me out actually I'm having bad time with my toyota vitz 2010 model. Its 1.0 vvti automatic.

I can hear weired noise while driving (can't exactly figure out where its coming from) but it more sounds like grinding noise from engine, it only comes when I accelerate.

I think it could be bearing but i'm not sure. I'd showed it to mechanic and he said probabily some mount is broken (not had a time yet to get this checked out).

Car's been serviced regularly and looked after very well.

    Looking forward for your suggestions

    Regards
    Nouman

Thanks brother for your reply, it could be one of pully's bearing as if it was belt then noise should be squeaky.

Anyway i'll get this checked out as well.

Thanks brother for sharing your experience. I maybe wrong but grinding noise only comes when I accelerate during driving.

At idle (when stopped) pully adjuster and belt seems fine, because with/without acceleration (again when car is stopped) it doesn't make any noise.

If you're still in doubt then I can get it checked out.

    Thanks again

Thanks brother for your reply, as I said to brother Humayun and Shahzad. To me it doesn't seems like belt or pully but you may be right.

I think at this moment I should get belt and pully's checked out as you all brothers are suggesting same thing.

It may put somesort of load on belt 😕 (confused).

Some times the belt makes noise due to dryness so make it little bit oily, put some GREECE Oil inside the belt....

It could be one of the wheel bearing, if you dont hear sound while car is idling. For all other bearings sound should get produced while idling too....

Same problem with my 2004 Vitz. I have noticed that the sound comes when accelerating plus at gear shifts. As soon as car is near 40 and then near 60.
