    Default Vitz Engine Swap from 1.0 to 1.3 (advice needed)

    Hi Pakwheelers,
    ,
    I own a vitz 1.0 2009 automatic transmission,I am thinking of swapping it with a 1.3 engine but I have no prior experience of doing such a thing.I am living in Islamabad and need the details of a few things.

    1.What will a 1.3 engine cost

    2.From where in ISB/Pindi I can get it done.

    3.How much time will it take for the swap.As it's the only car I have and I use it for daily commute.

    4.Are there any risks associated with the swap.

    All suggestions will be highly appreciated.

    It's ur daily driven?... Sell it n look for a 1.3 variant... Swapping would disturb alot of things in the car...

    Unless ofcourse u have like 60 to 70k and can tolerate workshop visits at any time, then go ahead... I can point u in the direction, the path is urs to walk...

    @waleed911 yep it is daily driven and well maintained money is not the problem the workshop visits can be an issue for me because of my job.

    wouldnt recommend a swap unless your current engine is giving problems!!!
    better sell it and buy 1,3 ,it will be wase of money and time both

    1.3 vitz is 100% better than 1.0.

    if you can manage look for 2SZ-FE of toyota. probably your current tranny will work with it.

    another option is 2NZ-FE.

    guys in pindi are pretty expert at swapping these engines and relevant wiring. shouldnt be an issue.

    do your working in detail and u will be fine. keep an expert with u so that u dont get robbed in terms of faulty engine etc.

    Forget 2szfe and 2nzfe why not 1nzfe cheaper and can move vitz like toy

    I think that you will have to go for 1 NZ-FE (1.5). Then you will enjoy its ride with fun ! In future, I will also had a plan to swap the engine of my 2001 1.o vitz to 1.5 ! Go for it with eyes closed !

    PLEASE STOP I think it is a USELESS step ... Have had first hand experience between many vitz with bigger engine aswell. Try and understand that youre project has no significance at all. It wouldnt be much of a gain at all trust me, the maximum you`ill get is something like a swift, which is again waste of youre money. Vitz Swift Mera these are hatchbacks not meant to be driven fast like some Quad turbo sports car. Save yourself money and time, it would rather be better to buy a good touch screen system for youre 1.0 vitz you already have, or if you have too much money to throw just sell youre vitz and add some to get a prius 3rd gen better consumption + performance it would even smoke vitz RS.

    Brother get youre facts checked, i highly disagree with youre opinion that it will be 100% better. Even a 1.5 engine upgrade wouldnt give a "100%" power to yield ratio. The 1.0 is practically fine. Its a car made for economic environmental friendly drive not some thing which is suppose to break speeding barriers.

    if you can just compare the idle of 1KR FE and 2 SZ FE, you will realize what i mean here.

    1.3 vitz is for sure 100 times better than 1.0.

    stick to original engine. problem is CVT transmission and abs . if changing require necessoryly then u should consider 1nz-fe with transmission ,complete uncut wiring and ecu of new architecture.
    I live in my own little world.
    But its ok, they know me here.
