    Default Toyota Vitz "Dart"

    Toyota Vitz &quotDart" -1595349

Asalamoalaikum Dear Friends! After painstaking deliberations I finally sold Hornet (a brand new 2015 Corolla GLi AT) over which I tried uselessly to wrap my head around but couldn't quite convince myself to keep it.
Saved some greens for future and on 27th of Ramadhan, by the grace of Almighty Allah, He has blessed me with Dart (2013 Toyota Vitz 1.0L in white colour). Join in to like/dislike, contribute and share your experiences or views about this new purchase.

Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

^^^ I think it's best that @adil39 describes his experience on this forum himself and then I will elaborate.

@fouadbakht Bhai... I'm extremely grateful for your concern and time that u could spare for my ride...I'm indeed indebted to u for that. I am relieved of my worries sitting miles away and even more relaxed now since u took the test drive yourself and looked deeply into all other aspects of the car other than the sound of brake disks. its an honour from my new ride as well .I'll definitely get the brake servicing done asap... i was worried about the CVT but Alhamdullilah the sound had nothing to do with that. thanx for being so considerate in helping a novice like me. That should be the essence of a true gentleman and character trait of a true Pakwheeler..
    JazakAllah Sir. Best Regards

    P.S. Conclusion of the day:
Every sound that a Vitz may produce is not necessarily due to CVT

@fouadbakht bhai... I guess u can better elaborate the issue for the knowledge of other members. As far as my experience is concerned..it was indeed a treat to have my ride road tested by a Senior Pakwheeler none other than Fouad Bhai himself... I'm fully satisfied with the findings because the weird sound which had destroyed my night's sleep is almost vanished.. it wasn't the CVT at least as could be understood by many including myself ... further only brake servicing is needed which will completely calm the vehicle inshaAllah

Mostly we Pakistani's are liars and cheaters when it comes to selling our personal items or business. It it contrary to the teaching of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Once Prophet (PBUH) saw a street vendor selling dates. He (Prophet) put his hand under the heep of dates bringing the sub-standard ones resting at the bottom (hidden) under the good quality ones telling the vendor to display all ( the good and bad) date quality to the purchaser for Halal business.

Do we do this when we sell our personal stuff/things/ machinery etc.? Do we inform prior to selling the defective / problematic parts or system of our vehicles. What you say?

@fouadbakht bhai ... This is indeed an eye opener.. you can't trust the auction sheet alone, come what may.. before buying my new Vitz, I returned one (same 2013, silver colour, 50k driven) after a week to the dealer.. it was R grade with one fender replaced. The same was mentioned XX on the auction sheet. when I brought the car home, an expert mechanic pinpointed that the boot door had been repainted. Initially I didn't believe him but then it started pinching me n I returned the car... added a few bucks more n picked a Grade 4 car after a thorough verification of auction sheet from Japan as well as a detailed physical inspection. The surprising moment came when I took the car for exchange and after inspecting the new car, I removed the AF - 015 rear number plate from the R grade car n tried to hook it up to the Grade 4 car... bolt holes weren't matching same model same car, two different trunk doors ...what was that??? I don't know

    Congratulations!

Have you installed the new cluster yet? If i buy a Vitz sometime, i'll probably spend money on that cluster instead of the RIMs.

Yes sir, there is absolutely no doubt about it. Now that you've joined the band wagon, stick around and contribute/suggest. Thanks

Inshallah will try to install tomorrow and snap some pictures of before and after, with and without illumination, during day and night. After this instrument cluster, the simple standard one seems so un-sporty. Can't wait to light it up.
And yes, from driving experience point of view it is a worthy investment.

The instrument cluster supports almost every function known. Eco, Airbag, to evn SPORTS mode. Lets see if it light on with some high revs. Worth every penny Mashallah. The installation was a 5 minutes job and everything went smooth Alhamdolillah. Plug n Play. I'd highly recommend this upgrade.

Great job @fouadbakht ! The meter change has totally transformed the way you interact with the car. From a bog standard panel to a more racy and informative cluster. I couldn't help notice the new cluster's MID shows the remaining range, was it available in the standard MID? If not, it's good to know the ECU (or another chip) was calculating it and you just needed the display.

I won the tire guessing contest (pirelli's) on the viper thread, but missed the deadline for dart. A very belated congrats on your purchase. I am sure, your heart (and mind) are at rest. Of course that is till the next civic shows up. I too am saving up for it.

PS: Glad you are doing better now. You should visit Karachi now, the weather's much nicer and no chance of heat stroke

excellent upgrade, by the way i now notice that th new cluster also displays outside temperature which wasnt there in the old one, did you install outside temp sensor or was it there in the car all along? and how did you match the odo meter readings between them or are those stored in the car's ECU.
If everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane!

Fouad Bhai... just can't get my eyes off this thing... this is such a beauty. I liked the colour combination black and grey with maroon lining astride the graduations. Marvellous. MashaAllah MashaAllah... night time pics please... your car's previous odo is also a different design... I had shared the pic of mine earlier as well.. just a comparison

    The cluster looking awesome.
What's your take on missing temperature gauge in new cars? This thing pinches me that you'll get a warning or beep at red line and if that censor or buzzer is out of order than you don't have second line of defence. However if you have temp gauge, you can continuously monitor it.
Your point of view in this case?
