    Default Toyota Vitz "Dart"

    Toyota Vitz &quotDart" -1595349

Asalamoalaikum Dear Friends! After painstaking deliberations I finally sold Hornet (a brand new 2015 Corolla GLi AT) over which I tried uselessly to wrap my head around but couldn't quite convince myself to keep it.
Saved some greens for future and on 27th of Ramadhan, by the grace of Almighty Allah, He has blessed me with Dart (2013 Toyota Vitz 1.0L in white colour). Join in to like/dislike, contribute and share your experiences or views about this new purchase.

    MashAllah! Congrats on the buy!
I myself imported a 5-grade Vitz KSP-130 last year. I did some research on which size of rims and tires to install. My research led me to the conclusion that 185/60/R15 is the ideal choice of tire size. However, for this particular size, the maximum allowable width rim was no more than 6-inches. I see that you have opted for a 7-inch width rim, please do share if u have faced any problems.
I went for 185/60/R15 Yokohama C-drives. they were very hard come by, especially the imported ones. They costed me an arm and a leg, but they were certainly worth it. For rims, i really wanted the Lenso's, but they were only availble in 6.5 and 7 inch width. Since i did not wanted those heavy chinese rims, so I went for Suzuki Swift's original rims as they were only available in my desired width, weight and quality.
Kindly share ur experience of changing the CVT Oil. My car is 35K driven now, and needs a CVT oil change. So please share the experience.

    Regards.

Passo may have the same transmission or engine but it drives differently. The main reason is the difference in suspension, vitz is more on sporty side which makes it more fun to drive; it's steering has a better response. Due to all these factory vitz feels like a heavier car to drive.

Just to add to what u said...Shape of a car also matters a lot. Passo might be having a good interior space but from an exterior view, it seems bit of a squarish box shaped car. I don't exactly know the difference of dimensions between Vitz n Passo but a 3rd Gen Vitz is 8 inch longer than the 2nd Gen Vitz and a bit lower in height. In 3rd Gen Vitz u get an extended boot space measuring up to 15.6 cubic feet and a little more leg space for rear seats. On the overall, this factor also adds to the driving pleasure that u surely get in any model of Vitz

Lastly I wish you were in Lahore I would have taken to you myself everywhere so fouadbakht bhai can guide you better.
And if you can avoid the dirt on genuine seats please stick to them, don't install any poshish as you will lessen the comfort level of yor ride.
Nabeel bhai.. do v have any other option with regards to this Pioneer installed in the car, other than just throwing it away? Getting our hands on a new DVD would be phase 2. What to do with this one? Is it worth something? No doubt it has a good sound quality.. does it support a rear cam at least??

I have a little knowledge about rides their specs and technical things but as far as i have experienced from my last few rides, One should opt the same tyre profile as company recommends.
As far as Vitz is concerned, I think 14s are enough for it keeping in view that it has small engine that too with three cylinders plus cvti.
Atleast from my side there is a big NO for 15s.
You are compromising the ride comfort as well, rest is up to you..
This is not the case bro. There are some principles to customise your wheels/tyres within certain limits (also set by manufacturer) and is done widely across the globe.

Generally, you can go with +1 and/or +2 up-gradation. The target is to carry out the up- gradation with final wheel diameter close to the stock wheel. With increase in wheel diameter, aspect ratio is decreased to compensate for the extra circumference and diameter. Like in case above, the stock wheels are 165/70 r14. These are planned to be replaced with 185/60 r15, which is a perfect size selection staying with in the required limits (close to 3%). One important thing here is the offset. With wider wheel selection, offset should be greater than stock. He can also go with 16" rims (+2 option) with this car.

Fouad Bhai, it's better to go with 195/50 r15 instead of 195/55 r15 for a better ride and comfort.
