    Default Overhaul or engine swap

Salaam, I have a 2006 model Vitz. It is 135k km driven. I have noticed that the engine acceleration has reduced plus the engine sound is louder than before.
When I turn the engine off, there is a smell of something burning.
Mobil oil levels are fine. Mileage is not affected.
Knocking is a disease common to this generation Vitz (it is present)
    What should I do?

the problems you had mentioned does indicate the CAT Blockage and plus some different more scenarios if the engine is weak just get it Overhauled along with transmission Valve Body assy service. with all lubes changed and you will be good to go.

CAT is the catalytic converter? If yes then it is removed most likely. Overhauling from where exactly? And how much will it cost? I am in Lahore

Default 2SZ Engine Overhaul in Islamabad

    Aoa,
Guys I recently bought a 1.3L 2006 Vitz. There is bluish grey smoke in the exhaust at higher RPMs.
    Solutions that come to mind:
    1. Get engine overhauled.
    2. Buy a new (kabli) engine/engine block

I am inclined to getting the 2SZ engine overhauled but the issue is that there are no spare parts available.
    Further Complication:
The mechanic I am getting this done from says,
'once the engine needs overhauling, the bore-diameters of the body that houses the pistons; are stretched due to wear and tear, this means that the standard parts that are present do not work in the overhaul and bigger size parts are required.'

These bigger size parts are nowhere to be found!
Any brother who has gotten a successful overhaul done of a 2SZ engine is more than welcome to show me the way!

    Thanks to all.

1st Thing 1st....Did You Compression Test It Before Claiming Rings Pistons Weak? Smoke Can Also Be Due To Valve Seals Or Other Factors....

Proper Inspection Can Clarify Either It Need Standard Or Oversized Ring Pistons And How Much Over-Sized....And That Is Only Possible After Opening Engine

DId You Check Market For 2SZ Parts Availability....You Gotta Do Alot Of Homework Before Taking Decision....!

Keep In Mind That Geting Kabli Engine Block Is Also A Risk..You Never Know How Much Km's Its Driven Before Cut To YARD....But The Last Resort If Parts Can't Be Sourced....Nowadays People Can Source Parts Outside PK And Get It Done...

Ustaad g just pressed the accelerator few times until there was blue smoke!

Where are compression tests done in Pindi/Islamabad?
Please guide me to the place where in your opinion they properly inspect the car.
