Default Need advice on buying Toyota Vitz 2013

Hey guys so I'm planning to buy a Vitz and I'm looking for 2013 model. I'm pretty new to the car buying scene, especially imported cars. But I've done some research already. Still need some guidance from fellow Pakwheelers.

So after verifying auction sheet online from japenese-partner.com, is matching the chassis/engine number the only way to confirm the authenticity of the auction sheet?

And should I directly import car or look for the ones already in the market? Cuz I heard there is a chance duty may increase by the time car reaches here in 2 months.

Plus what other things should I watch out for if I'm buying the car from the market?

so many of them flooded in the market why import
dealers wont present the auction sheets to you as you walk in

you can hand pick few of them and then research there history

pakwheels carsure thing makes imported car hunt easier
    try that
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

Brother, there is lots of fraud in the market. I call them Pakistani fraudiay. 99.5% cheats.

I got my car imported from Japan through my friend in this business for 25 yrs. Try getting it from Japan if possible through some one if possible.

let me share interesting story, i had 3 vitz, one 2000 modle, 2 newers, and here is the thing i want to tell you, my cousin came from saudia and wanted to buy a car for short period of time, what i did was that i looked for vitz and bought one with following specs:

    1. Vitz model 06
    2. Custom paid one in 2013
    3. Total run 70K
    4. Total bani hwi he, means accidental thi, roof new lga hwa he
    5. Engine 1.3 but soundless
    6. Rough from inside and outside but engine wise excellent
    7. Toyota duet compressor installed for AC

This car is giving 25+ on long and 17 on local, it always beats every vitz on road, goes up to 150 without engine sound, excellent milleage without any issue. Never needed to visit mechanic, An outclass ac.

I have raced with baleno and many cars with this vitz, even with new shape vitz my friends has, this one always beat them up.

So the moral lesson is you never need to go to space to bring a scratchless car. You may buy a car with some scratches that can beat every other car.

    @sohelahmed
Sir, you are lucky to get a good car despite it being damaged. I am sure most people won't mind too much if the car dealer tell the truth and lowers the price accordingly. But the problem is that the dealer swears its untouched and charges the highest possible price. That's when things get bad. Otherwise damaged cars can be sold, no problem, but only after truthfully telling the customer about its faults.
    :-)

Well, i second the opinion given by one member that if you have the contacts in Japan, then import the car directly from there. But still i am sure that there might be some guys out there who are telling you the truth about the car and selling it

Yeah true there's so much fraud that one has to be extremely careful with the dealers. Thankfully I got a deal from a friend who knows a guy.
It's a 2012 model though. But the car was in such a perfect condition that I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Also the color of my choice, Pearl White. Auction sheet also verified. Alhamdulillah. First time driven a Japanese car. Loving it
