Default 2005 model Vitz old shape Engine oil recommendation

    Hello All,

I have Toyota Vitz 2005 (old shape) 998 CC, currently 165k km driven.

I have previously used Total Quartz 5000 10w40 Engine oil in it having an interval of 5000km when my car clocked only 65k km as i dont know much about engine oils. Car is running perfectly , no oil leakage, no oil eating by engine.
I need an expert advice that which engine oil and which grade is good for my car. Next oil change is due now . Please recommend me some good engine oil with reasonable budget according to my car and mileage driven @Xulfiqar

Suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thank you

any good 10-30 (i use Caltex) Oil is good for this engine if you are maintaining strict 5000km intervals for oil change, You dont need to buy any expensive synthetic oils.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Go for original ZIC oil... find an authorized ZIC dealer and get oil from that dealer only... i heard zic provides home delivery as well.... you should visit the official website for further info.....

use fully synthetic 5w-50 oil. would improve your milage and performance of the ride.

suggested brands are micking and toyota for engine oil (as per my experience). have not used kixx 5w-50 however it looked good on paper too.

Max. Thickness is 40. Use 5w-40 with high mileage old engines.

Nido Brother, just to clear one mistake, this shape was last produced in 2004, 2005 is of a new Bull dog shape. So, please check again, this is a 2004 model.

Anyways, I own a vitz and have been fully satisfied with Liqui Moly. Grades usage depends on your enginer condition. For my mid-performance engine, I use 10W-40W and last upto 8000km.
