Default Vitz 2000 Air Condition Problem

    Hi,

I have a Vitz 2000 model. I need some help regarding the AC. First, its AC does not works when the car is in Neutral Gear. Like if you stop the car in signal / parking etc the AC does not work well, only the fan works. AC works if the car is running.

2ndly, AC does not work well in the day time well. For example, the parking I usually have does not have a sun shed etc, so I have to park it in sunlight. So when I come back and sit the interior is so much warm and I got sweat like hell in just 1-2 minutes - lolz.

    So what i want :

    1) I want the AC to work no matter the car is parked OR running.
    2) The AC should be STRONG enough to chill the car as soon as possible.

Thank you for all the coming advises and help !

Bro got ur rides AC checked from an auto AC shop. There are many reasons behind this. First of all, get it serviced.
Usually, the freezer under the dashboard gets chocked due to dust.
Also check ur Cabin Air Filter.
Ask the AC mechanic guy to check ur AC coolant gas amount in ur system, may be its low.
And Finally, as u r saying that when car is stopped, the AC also drops its cooling. To me, it looks like ur AC compressor is weak & needs replacement, bcz same is the case with my 2000 vitz last month, finally got its compressor replaced & its good to go in sizzling heat of Multan.
So its better to visit any AC mechanic, and got ur whole AC system checked by him !
If u have any queries, I will be Happy to help

Thank you boss, yes I will take it to a good AC technician. I wanted to make sure if this is a general problem OR a problem with me only.

I can remember that 2 years ago, I installed a new compressor and condenser - I guess Denso - and I asked them about the issue of AC in standing car, some technician told me that Vitz does not have that capability. It must run to get cooling, if its not running then AC will still work but does not give good cooling.

Brother, the compressor needs replacement. I wonder if you installed a brand new compressor or a second hand 2 years ago.

Did you installed the multiflow condensor or the old style serpentine styled black condensor?
