Default 1000 cc Vitz: issue of noise

    Hi Club members,

I have just purchased Toyota vitz 2013 model. It is F version, 4 Grade car and millage is around 58,000 km. Now the problem is its noise, the mechanic, car dealer, oil changer every one is saying that 1000 cc vitz has this much noise. is it true? I am asking this as I am also having Nissan Wingraod which is very smooth and calm. Secondly so far it is giving millage of around 10 Km/L which seems low especially when it is Eco version. Third thing is its vibration under AC especially when it is parked.

I am bit worry now and looking for you people advise.
    Best Regards

    Saqib

Indeed its noisy and you have to get used to it. the reason is because its a 3 cylinder engine that too paired with CVT transmission, this combined generates noise. And wingroad is a car with bigger engine and thats a different league. regarding mileage, I am getting 13.5 km/l with AC and that too in traffic. To increase mileage get your car tuned from Toyota 3s, gets its throttle body cleaned, all filters and plugs changed.

I noticed many owners of Vitz get their car's engine replaced with 1.3 4 cylinder - this might be a reason why do they change.

It happens when their engines get weak. Else it's not that easy to do this.

I used a 2008 vitz for 4 years. I used to get 14 to 15kmpl in city with a/c. If u r hearing a smooth noise then it is normal. But if u r hearing a metallic sound or rattling sound then u have to get ur engine checked. I used to get it tuned from toyota capital motors. But i dont know y they became careless since last one year. So i wont recomend them anymore.

Yes it depends on how well one cares. The engine is there but it's not that high. Many people don't care and abuse their cars badly which results in weak rings, blue smoke, oil reduction etc.

Use high octane fuel and see the difference.

For the oil consumption, use on 5W30 viscosity grade oil.

Get your ride Tuned! Get its plugs cleaned or if their life is up replace them. get your O2 sensor clean bcoz it also efects in fuel efficiency, get throttle body cleaned till end. and dont forget to use hi-octane! IA you will feel some change and do use preferred oil! Guard oil and Toyota engine oil are best. 5w30 is best! It will work in all conditions whether its cold or hot ;D

Plus 1 to what @wasicra said. Do as he said and also get your CVT oil checked your car has crossed 40k and I believe it needs CVT oil changed.

Vitz, with its CVT tanny, is a pretty noisy car to drive.
