    Hi All,

    Any one used an obdII scanner with a toyota vitz 2009 (1kr-fe petrol engine) to read/clear error codes and monitor various sensors of the engine. it uses M-OBD ISO 14230-4 ?

    Ok i got it. Following is the settings which i used.

    Select ECU: Generic OBD II
    Protocol: OBD-II CAN

    Does it tell the engine working temperature also?

    if you are referring to the engine coolant temperature, the green (cool) light on the dash goes off when it reaches 55c and the max I got when driving for long trips and/or in traffic is 85c (never heard the radiator fan spinning thus need to check at what temp the fan goes on, the outside temp in my country is around 28 to 30c

    Edit: fan starts at 95/96 celcius

    the coolant has been replaced a month ago using toyota super long life
